INFLUENCE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS TO THE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCES OF GRADE 12

STUDENTS OF CITI GLOBAL COLLEGE

Research locale and respondents

The selected respondents of the study that targets 767 senior high school students and were
chosen from Citi Global College, Cabuyao Laguna, particularly those grade 12 students enrolled
in Citi Global College for the academic year 2022-2023. Respondents were taken purposefully
from the strands, i.e., Grade 12 students from the strands of HUMSS, GAS, ICT and HE, ABM and
STEM. They are separated to identify the influence of social networks on their academic
performances. The grade 12 students' academic performance was evaluated through a survey
about the influence of social networks using a semi-structured questionnaire. The participants
will be distributed equally, and to identify the total participants on the study from the group we
use Slovin Formula:

n=264

Where:

n=sample size

N=Totla population

e²=margin of error

Therefore, the sample size of the respondents is 264 divided to 6 strands of the senior high
school, thia study will get 44 respondents each strands to determine the influence of social
networks in academic performances.
