Abstract

Saltwater has a low voltage level, implying that it has some electron density even

though it hasn't been properly examined. The main goal of this investigation project is to

recognize that ability and make effective use of it through research and experimentation. Salt

water may be a new, affordable, and environmentally responsible energy source. Due to the

presence of dissolved salt, primarily in the form of chloride ions, salt water is a good

conductor of electricity (Cl-). These ions are able to conduct an electrical current and are free

to move about in the solution. As the amount of salt in the water grows, so does its

conductivity.

The researchers would like to determine the effectiveness of saltwater electricity as an

alternative lighting source for flashlight. It is hoped that the globe would benefit from salt

water's usefulness as a different energy source because of its tremendous potential for

creating power.

This study's design is experimental research because the researchers used manipulated

variables. Any change in other variables is controlled and measured by it. The amount of salt

in the saltwater solution used in this study as a voltage source was the independent variable,

and the flashlight was the dependent variable.

The researchers conducted an experiment on how to use salt water electricity to make an

alternative voltage source. It is done by making a saltwater circuit with the use of copper and

zinc as electrodes and copper wires for transmitting energy from saltwater to the flashlight.
Statement of the Problem

The researchers would like to determine the effectiveness of saltwater electricity as an

alternative lighting source for flashlight. Specifically, the researchers would like to ask the

following questions:

1. Is there a significant variance between the various salt concentrations needed to light an

apartment?

2. Based on electrical conductivity, does the amount of salt in the water differ significantly?

Hypothesis

H1: Salt water solution is an effective alternate voltage source.

Variables

Since saltwater can produce electrolytes, which can generate an electrical current, it is a

practical choice for an independent variable. The researchers aimed to determine whether

salt water is a useful alternative voltage source for the flashlight.

General Objective

The researchers would like to determine the effectiveness of saltwater electricity as an

alternative lighting source for flashlight. It is hoped that the globe would benefit from salt

water's usefulness as a different energy source because of its tremendous potential for

creating power.

Specific Objective
The goal of this experiment is to be reusable by a competent person, and if any discoveries
are made, they can be used by the world to help people benefit more from using renewable
energy sources.
