SURNAME, FIRST NAME
Instruction: Provide the correct answer to each of the following numbers.
1. Define the sector of a circle.
- A sector of a circle is a closed figure bounded by an arc of a circle and two of its radii.

2. What is an arc length?

- Arc length is better defined as the distance along the part of the circumference of any circle or
any curve (arc).

3. What is a radian?
- Radian is the SI unit of measuring angles which is based on the arc length and the radius.

4. How many radians in a circumference?

- The size of a radian is determined by the requirement that there are 2 radians in a circle.

5. What is angular displacement? Write its formula and its unit of measurement.
- Angular displacement is defined as the change in the angle of a body with respect to its initial angular
position. Its unit of measurement is Radian or Degrees.

6. What is angular velocity? Write its formula and its unit of measurement.
- Angular velocity is the rate of change of the position angle of an object with respect to time. Its unit of
measurement is Radian or Degrees.

Formula: w = theta / t, where w = angular velocity, theta = position angle, and t = time.

7. What is angular acceleration? Write its formula and its unit of measurement.
- Angular acceleration, also called rotational acceleration, is a quantitative
expression of the change in angular velocity that a spinning object
undergoes per unit time. It is a vector quantity, consisting of a magnitude
component and either of two defined directions or senses. Its unit of
measurement is Radian or Degrees.

8. How do you convert the angular displacement into linear displacement?

- Angular displacement defines the movement of a segment as represents the change in angular position.
Linear displacement of any point along a segment that is rotation can be calculated with: d = rθ as long as
angular position is expressed in rads.

9. How do you convert the angular velocity into linear velocity?

- To calculate linear velocity from angular velocity, multiply the angular speed by the radius.

Formula: VL=VA∗R
Where VL is the linear velocity (m/s)
VA is the angular velocity (rad/s)
R is the radius (m)

10. How do you convert the angular acceleration into linear acceleration?
- α=atr. α = a t r . These equations mean that linear acceleration and angular acceleration are directly
proportional. The greater the angular acceleration is, the larger the linear (tangential) acceleration is, and
vice versa.
