This proposal (“Proposal”) is prepared and issued by DNV GL Vietnam Ltd. (trading as DNV GL) for the
sole use of the recipient named on its title page (the “Customer”) for whom this Proposal is prepared.
Neither this Proposal, nor any discussions, correspondence or other activities in connection with this
Proposal shall form a relationship of responsibility (and whether in contract or in tort, including without
limitation negligence) regarding its subject matter without the Customer (or with the agreement of
DNV GL any third parties) entering into a written agreement with DNV GL in accordance with DNV GL’s
terms and conditions contained or referred to in this Proposal. This Proposal may only be reproduced
and circulated in accordance with the Document Classification and associated conditions stipulated or
referred to in this Proposal.

The variation order is to continue review of the monopile foundation design review of the project.
Customer requires the services of an experienced independent engineering consultant to help review
technical documents give confidence that the monopile design solution is suitable and that a steel order

DNVGL has limited time to review and comment on design report and drawings. Therefore, based on
experience the review will concentrate on areas that drive the monopile design for shallow water location
of the coast of Vietnam.
• Soil interpretation and modelling (impacts the monopile stiffness and embedment length)
• Natural frequency assessment (impacts the monopile stiffness, diameter and dynamics)
Following the initial review, DNVGL will discuss with the Customer how the support the project ongoing
by either an Owner’s Engineer Role or Certification / Verification.
2.2 Budget
DNV GL will undertake this work on a time and material basis, with the initial agreed budget covering
support into the early January 2021.
