1 INTRODUCTION
DNV GL (Thailand) Co., Ltd., trading as DNV GL, is pleased to submit this variation proposal (the
“Proposal”) in response to a request from Sermsang Power Corporation Public Limited Company (the
“Customer”).

The variation order is to continue review of the monopile foundation design review of the project.

Customer requires the services of an experienced independent engineering consultant to help review
technical documents give confidence that the monopile design solution is suitable and that a steel order

2 SCOPE OF VARIATION

2.1 Task 1 – Design Review Support

DNV GL will continue review of the monopile foundation design review.

DNVGL has limited time to review and comment on design report and drawings. Therefore, based on
experience the review will concentrate on areas that drive the monopile design for shallow water location
of the coast of Vietnam.

The key drivers are:

• Soil interpretation and modelling (impacts the monopile stiffness and embedment length)

• Natural frequency assessment (impacts the monopile stiffness, diameter and dynamics)

• Fatigue loading (impacts the wall thickness).

• Extreme loading (impacts the embedment length).

Following the initial review, DNVGL will discuss with the Customer how the support the project ongoing
by either an Owner’s Engineer Role or Certification / Verification.

2.2 Budget
DNV GL will undertake this work on a time and material basis, with the initial agreed budget covering
support into the early January 2021.

2.3 Deliverables
The deliverable will be in the form of a comment review sheet (CRS) for the document reviewed. It is
expected that three CRS to be issued on 15/01/2021.

DNV GL and Customer confirm that this variation order (VO) is an integral part of the Agreement/ Main
contract referred herein. Except for the impacts or revision agreed under this variation order, other
terms and conditions under the said Agreement/Main contract shall remain in effect. No deliverables will
be made until a signed variation order is in place.

The Variation Order shall be effective from the singing date.
