MATHEMATICAL CONNECTIONS

SNOW FLAKES
Symmetry is pattern that shows reflection of

images. One example is
snowflake. Snowflakes
have six-fold radial symmetry with detailed
and identical patterns on each of its arms.

SHELL OF SNAIL

The snail's shell exhibits

a spiral pattern.
Spiral is a pattern that revolves around a central
point and expands continuously.

RASPBERRIES
In raspberries, there is a tesselation pattern. It

is a pattern consisting of identical shapes that

fit together with no gaps and do not overlap.

SCALE OF FISH
A fish scale is a small, hard plate that comes out

from the fish's skin. Another

example of a
naturally occurring tessellation can be found in
fish scales.

BRANCHES OF TREE
Fractal is a detailed pattern that looks similar at

any scale and repeats over
time. Trees branching
is an example of fractal in nature. Every branch
of the trees from the tips are copies of the one
before them.

~ The world is indeed full of beautiful nature and

consist of different patterns. ~
