Practice’s objective: students read an article in which the woman in the photo tells the story behind it. They
then focus on vocabulary and the correct use of the prepositions at, in, and on, both for time and place. The
story will also provide the context to introduce the Past Continuous .

● Pre-Task INSTRUCTIONS: Go to page 153 from your American English File 3 book and complete the
vocabulary preposition chart exercise 1A. Take a picture about your activity once is graded it and put
at the end of this exercise

● While-task INSTRUCTIONS: Go to page 114 from your American English File 3 and read the description
from the illustration and complete the exercise 2A and 2B. Then, post your favorite photo on the
website, together with a short description of why the photo is important to you similar to what you
read before. Plan your description, think about the answers to the question in 2B in order to write
about your favorite photo and use the highlighted phrases from the description if you can.

● Post Task INSTRUCTIONS: SPEAKING Go to page 103 from your American English File 3 BOOK, and
answer the questions from student A from exercise A. then go to page 109 and answer the questions
from student B from exercise A. Take a picture about your grade and put it at the end of this exercise.
