Sub: Wiring termination in Power cubicle – Reg

At many places it has been noticed that multiple wires and relays are
terminated on the same terminal resulting in nuts not properly engaging the bolt
threads. This will result in loosening of nuts and cause fires or failures. A sample
photo is given below.

The issue can be noticed by observing there is no visible thread portion

projecting outside the nut. Provision of check-nut has to be ensured. The number of
conductors terminated at a terminal to be chosen in such a way that atleast few
threads are visible outside.
SSEs are advised to sensitize the staff also about this deficiency. Such places
are to be identified and attended. A colour printout of this circular to be kept in the
concerned register and acknowledge by the staff.
