Please read carefully and analyze the given sample contracts. The said contracts and promissory note/s
are the actual application of the law relating to Obligations and Contracts. These are the basics to follow
are the examples of Contract of sale or deed of sale.

I. Promissory Note

PROMISSORY NOTE

FOR VALUE RECEIVED, I/WE promise to pay to the order of the COCO M.
SAN AGUSTIN on or before December 25, 2022, the sum of Pesos TWO HUNDRED
FIFTY THOUSAND PESOS ONLY (P 250,000.00 ) (the "Loan"), together with interest
at 6 % ( Six Percent) per annum.

Nota Bene: Here the Debtor Jose P. Bonifacio promises to Pay the amount of 250,000php to the Creditor
COCO M. SAN AGUSTIN on a certain day to come which is December 25,2022. COCO may only demand
payment on DECEMBER 26,2022 and put Jose P. Bonifacio in delay in case does not fulfil his OBLIGATION
to pay by December 25,2022. In a promissory note there can be two debtors and also two creditors.
II. Sample Fee Proposal
Nota Bene: Once the Client agrees to the Fee Proposal there already the meeting
of the minds as he/she accepts my offer. (contract perfected) The Consent is the
signature of the client and the lawyer because they agree to the terms and
conditions. Object is the legal services being offered by the lawyer and
Consideration is the amount of fees to be paid once the legal services starts.

Re: Fee proposal for legal services

This is to confirm that the undersigned can represent you in Criminal/Civil Case No. _______________
(People of the Philippines v. __________________) pending before the Regional Trial Court of
_____________, Pangasinan. In connection with the handling of the matter, payment of the following fees
is proposed:

A. Php50,000.00 as acceptance fee. This acceptance fee is non-refundable and shall


cover the following legal services: (1) all consultation regarding the case, and (2)
appearance fee for two hearings;

B. Php4,000.00 as appearance/legwork fee per day. This fee shall be charged for every
in-person appearance the undersigned makes before a court, quasi-judicial agency,
prosecutor’s office, administrative body or government/non-government office located in
Pangasinan; Php5,000.00 outside the province of Pangasinan.
C. Php3,000.00 as online appearance fee. This fee shall be charged for every online
appearance the undersigned makes before a court, quasi-judicial agency, or
administrative body at any stage of the case;

D. Professional fees for services, including meetings or conferences with client, drafting of
reply, memorandum, position paper, motions, affidavits/judicial affidavits, other
pleadings, or documents to be submitted in court, prosecutor’s office, quasi-judicial
agency, administrative body or sent to government offices or parties, that are not covered
in paragraphs A, B, and C above will be billed progressively at a rate of Php1,000.00 per
hour. There shall be a cap of Php10,000.00 for each reply, memorandum, position paper,
motion, affidavit/judicial affidavit, pleading, or document drafted to be submitted to a
court, prosecutor’s office, quasi-judicial agency, administrative body, or sent to
government offices or other persons/parties.

Further, all expenses (e.g. filing fees, government fees, sheriff’s fee, mailing, printing, transportation, toll
fees, photocopying, transcript of stenographic notes, etc.) shall be for your account. A deposit/revolving
fund in the amount of Php15,000.00 is required. It will answer for the ordinary expenses that will be incurred
in rendering the services. The revolving fund will be liquidated from time to time and a request for
replenishment will be made whenever the need arises. However, no extraordinary or substantial expense
will be incurred without your approval.

Appearance in government offices, attendance at in-person conferences and hearings, legwork, as well as
follow-ups necessary in the handling of the subject case shall entitle our lawyers and paralegals to
transportation expenses. The transportation rate schedule is attached for your reference.

Should the foregoing be acceptable to you, please signify your conformity below and return a copy to the
undersigned
