Tribal Arts plays a vital role in the cultural and religious aspects of various tribes in
different countries. It expresses and represents different historical values and beliefs
that should be given importance until now. However, it is also one of the underrated arts
that has not been greatly appreciated by the students and the youth. As one of those
students who doesn’t have an interest in tribal arts, upon entering the museum it felt like
I was just doing this to comply with the task given in the Literature subject. But as I
roamed around and read every description of the art, I was amazed by how these
pieces influenced one’s culture and history. As I got out of the museum, I realized that
visiting a museum to see these tribal arts is essential to every student for it not only
gives us an idea of their culture but it also gives beautifully crafted art that represents
ancient life and it’s important message to the youth. I have come up with 3 reasons why
us, the youth, should often visit and support tribal arts…

First, as students, it will help us allow the indigenous people to express themselves
since they are not able to back them.

Second, tribal arts are very interesting. From its simplest detail up to its deepest
meaning. Some of it may catch our attention because of its unusual appearance but
beautifully made. It will help us appreciate all the things that might be new to us and
those things we thought that didn't interest us.

Lastly, tribal arts should be given importance up until this generation because it provides
a link for better understanding of the past that can be used in today’s generation. These
arts are telling and teaching us something that they’ve experienced before in order not
to create the same mistakes again.
