How are new words formed?

- According to the article, new words these days are formed by those
mechanisms aforementioned in the text and also ( in my opinion) these words
are formed cause of the current and upcoming trends that gives us idea for what
to call it that drives into us that slowly developing to become a new word that
may be included in the English dictionary .

How are words formed?

- Some words came from those famous writers and English speakers that gave
us prolific ideas and words which is the root of our wide variation of words
nowadays, caused by some factors that makes every new word from a word ; like
removing or adding prefixes or suffixes to a word which gave a gigantic
contribution for these words to multiply .

How many new words are created every day?

- Focusing on ‘how words created everyday’, I might say that it came from trends
coming to us time by time (like what I’ve said earlier) specially by us, millennials
who invents those words , also affected by those mechanisms mentioned in the
article .

What are some mechanisms in forming new words?

- Those mechanisms includes; derivation, back formation, compounding,
repurposing, conversion, eponyms, abbreviations, loanwords, onomatopoeia,
reduplication, nonce words, errors and portmanteaus.
For short, these things are some factors that affects other words which
causes to invent a new words every single time.

Which word formation process is the source of the English word modem?
- The word “modem” stands for modulator- demodulator, possibly some word
formation process that might be the source of this word are Blending, eponym
formation , agglutinations and Backformation .
