On March 23, 1877, he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts
degree with the highest honors from Ateneo Municipal
with the grade of Sobresaliente (Excellent). (2)Rizal
received five medals and scored the highest in all
Asia subjects. (3)He obtained gold medals in agriculture and
topography. (4)Rizal was the champion of the Filipino
students. (5)And lastly, Rizal took the vocational course
leading to the title of “perito agrimensor” (expert
surveyor) and passed the final examination in the
surveying course on November 25, 1881.

Rizal was awarded the degree of Licentiate in
Philosophy and Letters by the Universidad Central de
Madrid with the rating of “Excellent”: (Sobresaliente).

Conferred the degree of Licentiate in Medicine. (3)He
get to published his book; Noli Me Tangere in Berlin,
Europe Germany and El Filibusterismo in Ghent, Belgium.

Annotating of Morga’s book, Sucesos de las Islas
Filipinas (Historical Events of the Philippine Islands).

Rizal was chosen honorary president. This was a
recognition of his leadership among all Filipino patriots
in Europe.

Rizal was able to visit and see the scenic and historical
places such as: Monument of George Washington,
Brooklyn bridge, and Statue of Liberty. (2)He stayed at
North America the Palace Hotel which is considered first-class hotel in
the city. He also stayed at Fifth Avenue Hotel in New
York. (3)Rizal discovered that there is no cholera epidemic
and soon discovered it was motivated by politics.
