Writing skills are an important aspect of success in criminal

justice fields like law enforcement, despite how commonly
individuals are overlooked. This is largely because the majority
of jobs in this field are found within large government
departments that rely heavily on written documents as a form of
communication. The large number of suspects that police
officers deal with on a daily basis is one of many reasons why
filing police reports is necessary. In light of this, it is probably
impossible for any police officer to remember every aspect of
every case without taking notes. Writing plays a significant role
in that routine. A police officer must create a report for each call
for service in order to record the specifics of the incident and
any investigations. The reports play an important role in court
