This Educational program’s endeavour is to provide a curriculum that is relevant for the class 10/11 student
(15+ years) and will attempt to help students actualise their potential and become active contributors to
society, in later life. We believe that these experiences will develop into meaningful character-building
qualities. It is the responsibility of all of us the teachers, assistants, volunteers, parents and students to
maintain honesty, grace, courtesy, respect, care and tenacity, during this program.

Program Expectations:
 To participate with determination, spirit and to the best of your ability.
 To work cooperatively with your group, teacher(s) and assistant(s).
 To be a positive and reliable member of a group.
 To do your share of the duties and other allocated jobs.
 To have fun and have lots of laughs.
 To uphold qualities of resilience and fairness as well as a demonstrated respect for other people in general.
 To make sure that your priorities for the fortnight are the Education program first, my group second and myself
third.
 To make sure that I encourage and support my fellow classmates whenever possible.

Other Expectations:
 Abide by the rules of road travel and accommodation, as outlined in the camp information.
 Remember that this is a program that is governed by rules and consequences for the entire camp.
 Remember that we are visitors and that we are representing our country and ourselves. We need to be able to
trust that you will be able to make acceptable decisions and act respectfully with each other and all who you
come in contact with.

Range of Consequences:
 Student may not be permitted to participate in all activities as determined by the teacher(s) in charge.
 The student is sent home. This will only be done in consultation with a teacher /adult/ parent in exceptional
circumstances. Expenses will need to be covered by parents or parents will need to collect their child.
 The student is suspended from lessons.
 Any other consequences determined by the teacher.

If it is necessary for a student to be sent home, the parent’s will be notified and arrangement will be made to bring the
student home. Please note that the family of the student concerned will need to meet the costs of this action.
