D. PRESENTATION/DISCUSSION Okay class, what have you notice or observe in the video you have

Yes! Exactly. our country is blessed with rich natural resources starting from the varied physical feature
down to our diverse plant and animal forms.

Talking about how lucky we are in the Philippines to have such beautiful things , what can you associate
with the word “RESOURCES”?

Very good, another idea from the class?

Very good student!

Based on your answers, we can define resources as things used and needed by people in order to
survive or satisfy our needs.

Anybody or anyone in the class ,who want to give examples of resources?

Very good!

Resources such as air or wind, water, sunlight, soil, plants ,animals, fossil fuels and gas are considered as
resources because they are already available in our in our nature.

Now, since we are talking about resources , our which is the Philippines as an archipelago , is considered
to be rich in natural resources.
Lets name out the natural resources of our country. We are blessed to have the abundant water forms.
What are the water forms by the way?

What do you think of the importance of these water forms?

Yes!

The presence of water in specific environment is said to be accountable for supporting high biodiversity
in that area. Biodiversity means the presence of various types of organisms such as

Yes ma’am

We were able to see and visit and explore our country’s beautiful destinations and its resources. We
notice that we have plenty of natural resources found in the Philippine archipelago.

RESOURCES are the things available or can be found around us which we use for different purposes.

Resources are things that can be used to support ,help or needed in our life.

(Answers may varies from the student) Example can be: water, plants, animals,
soil,rocks,minerals,oil,fuels,wind or air,house, jewelry,money and etc.

Rivers,falls,lakes,swamps,bays and ocean.

These bodies of water support the survival of all organisms for food as well as for economic activities.
Today, we are going to brainstorm on how people destroy natural resources

Now, I want everybody to group themselves according to your class seats(row) then form a circle.

Now, you are going to select your leader, secretary and 2 reporters from your group

Listen for the instructions. I will be showing you some illustrations. You will be shown a “before” and
“after” of a certain situations or activities. Afterwards, you are going to determine the effects of those
activities to our natural resources. Take note on the illustration given to you because each group have
specific assigned illustrations given to you.

Did you get it?

So I will give the illustrations together with the materials ,cartolina paper, marker inside the cartolina
there is a column for human activity that is already written and on the other column is the effects. You
are going to write down the effects on the cartolina provided under”effects”.The reporters in your group
will discuss your work after in front of the class.

Okay , you can start now and after 10 minutes reporting will follow.

(present “before” and “after”of a certain situation or activities in PPT )

GROUP 4

Group 5

Now that you already visualize the people destroy natural resources , you can now start writing down
the effects.

10 minutes stats now!

(After performing the activity) May I request all groups to paste your output on the board and start the
reporting.

Anybody who has more questions to the group?

As we can see, nature provided us with the rich natural resources which are very necessary to us. In
return let us protect and conserve the richness of the country’s natural resources.
Mining and quarrying for the purpose of getting precious metals and gravel or stones.

Plastics , garbage and chemicals are thrown into the bodies of water.
