P4H Execution Plan

A plan to guide P4H with tangible

metrics and annual goals for the

program. To help guide P4H to success.

2
Mission & Vision

Training People to
Transform Nations
Prioritizing alignment
with the mission of
empowering leaders to
create positive change

Expand Global
Outreach
Spread the success and
knowledge P4H has
gained about improving
school quality and
resources beyond Haiti.

3
School Excellence
Assessment (SEA)
An assessment that is free for schools
and organizations to benefit from
supports the educational accessibility
aspect of the P4H mission.

We believe the assessment itself can

provide insight for schools that can
improve the environment and
opportunities for students.

The assessment catalyst can have future

effects that address opportunities to grow
brand awareness, improve finances and
expand on a global scale.

4
SEA Purpose
and Goals

WHY SEA?
The results of our team’s Strengths
Weaknesses Opportunities and Threats
(SWOT) analysis for P4H showed that they
have an opportunity to expand brand
awareness and impact schools beyond Haiti.

AREA OF GROWTH
P4H needs to grow their finances and
resources to provide adequate educational
support in Haiti and beyond.

SEA GOAL
To evaluate the success of a school in
various areas that are vital aspects to
functioning and survival.

5
EFFECTIVENESS OF SEA
We believe the School Excellence
Assessment (SEA) will be effective because
it directly aligns with P4H’s mission of
improving education and opportunities
that come with adequate education.

“Education is a fundamental right and

the basis for progress in every country…
with partnership, leadership and wise
investments in education, we can
transform individual lives, national
economies and our world.”

-United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

P4H’s mission connects to UNESCO principles and

philosophies of giving all children the right to
sufficient education.
6
SEA Structure
The assessment consists of twelve categories:
1. Access to Resources and Materials
2. Measurement of Success
3. Creativity Encouragement
4. Extra Curricular Program Strengths
5. Connectivity with Parents/Guardians
6. Access to Future Education
7. Faculty Training Strength
8. Encouragement of Social and Emotional
9. Learning Positive School and Classroom
10. Environment Promotion of Safety
11. Access to Health and Nutrition
12. Behavior Accommodations
7
SEA RATING AND
MEASUREMENT SCALES
Within each of the 12 categories there are between
five and ten questions or statements that relate to
the overall goal of the category.
.

RATING SCALE
For each question or statement the school must
candidly rate themselves using a 0-4 scale to quantify
how often a behavior occurs

A zero (0) means that the behavior/situation does

not exist or never happens
A one (1) means that the behavior/situation occurs
less than half the time or roughly applies to 25% of
students/circumstances
A two (2) means that the behavior/situation occurs
half of the time or roughly applies to 50% of
students/circumstances
A three (3) means that the behavior/situation occurs
more than half of the time or roughly applies to 75%
of students/circumstances
A four (4) means that the behavior/situation occurs
all the time on a fully functional consistent basis

8
SEA RATING AND
MEASUREMENT SCALES
For each category, based on the rates for the
questions/statements, the school is given a score that is
created from all the rates averaged together.

MEASUREMENT SCALE
The measurement scale contains four
different levels to determine the success the
school has in each area.

If a school receives less than a 2.0 in a

category, they are in the “fail” level.
If a school receives between a 2.0 and
2.9 they are in the “surviving” level.
If a school receives between a 3.0 and
3.9 they are in the “growing” level.
If a school receives a 4.0 they are in the
“excelling” level.

9
Who should take the
SEA?
The SEA should be accessible to schools and non
profit organizations with an educational
improvement mission on a global scale.

In order for the assessment to truly reflect

reality, a consistent and unbiased group
should take the assessment.

P4H realizes that schools may have

different resources, but a committee can
ensure an honest measurement.

The committee should be a diverse group

who has knowledge about the school, such
as board of education members, parents,
educators, other staff, students etc.
10
The assessment may be a beneficial indicator
for areas where the school can improve to
create a more positive experience for their
students, faculty and staff.
.

If there are certain areas where the score is not

as high as they wish it to be, they may choose
to be involved in a specialized program where
P4H staff can aid them to improve in these
necessary departments
The knowledge the schools gain about the
reality of their success can possibly spark
taking action through buying P4H’s Growth
Guide, which is a component in The
Development Plan.

11
Development Plan
WHAT?
In order for P4H to grow their global impact, they

need to expand their revenue. A way to add a

substantial revenue stream is to copyright and sell

the "P4H Formula" to help similar organizations

around the world.

GROWTH GUIDE
The actual product that will be sold is the Growth

Guide. It is the copyrighted material that P4H will

own and be able to make revenue on.

PRICING
The pricing will mostly be determined by P4H

because there are not many similar products on

the market. The rate is not fixed and should be

negotiable depending on the organization is able

to offer.

12
GROWTH GUIDE

The Growth Guide is what P4H will actually

charge organizations for and will produce
revenue for P4H. In order to make this as
easy as possible to implement, the Guide will
serve as a general guide for organizations to
improve their impact based on the amazing
work that P4H has done.

It’s a way for P4H to expand their impact on

a global scale. The idea is that the
organizations/schools will take the SEA and
recognize how well they’re operating. Based
on the results, they can choose to purchase
the Growth Guide to get help from P4H on
how to improve their areas of weakness from
what P4H is doing or has done.

INTRODUCTION
The outline is designed to flow into each other

from introducing P4H and why this work is

important. It allows the Manual to be more

general because it builds the foundation where

anyone who reads it is building upon the same

context and information. After the Introduction

section, the Planning Stage and Plan

Developing Stage are designed to let the

organization or school build their own plan of

how they will improve with P4H giving tips and

helping along the way. It can be almost

thought of as a workbook where they can fill in

their own information and P4H can try to guide

that process.

Planning Stage
The Planning Stage section begins that process by

starting the organization/school to clearly lay out what

their goals are, what resources they need, and how they

will get those resources. The purpose is to set up the user

for the best possible chance for success by thinking

through the prerequisites of a successful plan in

identifying purpose and acquiring resources.

15
Plan Developing

Stage
The Plan Developing section gives the
opportunity for the organization/school to
develop what their plan will be in observing data
to give direction, who will need to be involved,
and plan for change. This is to put together the
plan for how the organization/school will address
their needs and weaknesses. Also, to figure out
how they will utilize the resources they’ve
allocated. In addition to giving direction, who do
you need to move this forward? People are
indeed a resource but the team itself will be
essential and it is essential that those people are
in the right roles. This can often mean the
difference between success and failure is the
wrong team. Lastly, hopefully with the plan that
is being built, things will change and ideally
things will change for the better. However,
everyone that is affected by this change may not
be on board or on the same page about this
change. So it is important to anticipate any
challenges or the results of the changes that are
being made so the organization can be ready
and agile to address it.

16
EXECUTING AND

EVALUATING STAGE
The Executing and Evaluating Stage section is

to actually put the plan that is being developed

into action and to then evaluate how it went.

P4H can give a lot of advice and guidance for

how to actually execute the plan because

putting something into motion can be scary

and difficult at first without proper guidance

and reassurance. The other side of it is to review

and analyze the results of the plan. It’s to allow a

space where they can reflect on what went

well and what can be improved for next time.

Not all plans will end in success but every plan

is an opportunity to learn and if it does not

meet the original goals or expectations, how

will they get there next time?

Resources
Finally, Resources is just an additional source of

information that maybe P4H has found helpful and

thinks other people would find helpful. This can be in any

format but some examples are books, articles, guides,

etc. Whatever P4H thinks is valuable and wants to share.

17
PRICING STRATEGY
Ebooks in general have such a wide range of

prices so it really is based on what P4H

determines is the best pricing strategy

Based on what we’ve been told by the CFO, we

would suggest that the pricing of services like

these could be anywhere from $300-$1500

The ultimate goal of this is to grow P4H so

whatever that price is would be the price we

recommend
Also, we recognize that there is a wide spectrum

of size and resources available for nonprofit

organizations
With that being said, the price should not be a

fixed rate; the price should be negotiable and

can change based on what the nonprofit is able

to give

COPYRIGHT
A copyright protects the ownership over a piece of work, that

includes music, art, literary works, etc. It differs from a trademark in

that a trademark protects ownership of a word, phrase, or design. It

also differs from a patent because patents are mainly used for a

technology like a pharmaceutical drug or machinery. However,

copyright, trademarks, and patents are all categorized under the

umbrella of Intellectual Property. Copyrights are registered through

the U.S. Copyright Office. Copyrights protect the owner to be able to

distribute or reproduce whatever is copyrighted. For example, song

lyrics are copyrighted to give the owner exclusive rights to the work

while being able to distribute that work. Copyrights last for the

lifetime of the owner plus 70 years in addition.

As the owner of a copyrighted work, there are a number of exclusive rights that

the owner has over the copyrighted work. Those rights include:

1. Reproduce the copyrighted work in copies or phonorecords
