WELCOME BACK TO KWIK THINKING!

Today’s session is about the power of capturing your thoughts.

Journaling can transform your thinking. By writing something down, you are taking the
invisible and making it a reality through the physical motion of writing.

The journals of some of society’s greatest thinkers are invaluable. Were they geniuses
because they journaled? Or were their journals reflections of their genius?

CAPTURE YOUR THOUGHTS

To start capturing your own thoughts, get a notebook.

Research has shown that people who handwrite notes do better with test scores than
those who type and take notes digitally.

Taking notes digitally can be convenient in today’s digital age, but handwriting your notes
helps you to capture only the important parts of the information you’re learning.

Handwritten notes help you filter, qualify, and capture important information.

My method of notetaking involves not only taking notes, but making notes.

This creates a feedback loop that advances your learning and your thinking.

YOUR NOTEBOOKS
Ideally, you will have a notebook dedicated to this course, along with a separate journal.

When you go back and read your old entries, you can see how far you have come and
assess the lessons you have learned. Over time, your journal will provide you with
perspective. When it comes to your learning and your thinking, perspective is an
incredibly important tool.

Journaling can help you to layout any problems you may be experiencing, and assess them
in a different way. It can help you to own the situation.

Journaling helps you to build self-awareness, which is great because self-awareness is a

superpower.

I suggest journaling every single day, at least once a day.

> Are you already journaling every day? What do you usually write about?
> Is there anything you would like to add to your journaling practice? e.g. would you
like to take an extra five minutes to journal about gratitude?
> If you are not yet journaling, when will you make time to journal? In the morning or
evening?

SHARE WITH US
In the comments section of this video, tell your fellow learners about
your journaling habits. What do you journal about the most? Are you
taking notes during this course?
