2 With awakened white-lotus eyes, fully bloomed pink-lotus face, brandishing over and again

dang pa-jé chen
3 Together with countless Vajrapānis, With features such as brows furrowed in fury,
Heroes, tamers of those difficult to tame, fearsome and heroic in form,

4 Brandishing blazing-tipped vajras in their hands, superb in fulfilling the aims of wandering

5 Having happy, joyful, and delighted dispositions, yet endowed with ferocious bodily forms,
Guardians to further the Buddhas’ activities, their bodies bowed – together with them

8 For the welfare and attainment of the peerless fruit for all limited beings

11 The superlative Litany of Names, with profound meaning, with extensive meaning, with
great meaning,
Unequaled, and supremely pacifying, constructive in the beginning, middle, and end,
de-pé sang-gyé nam-kyi sung / ma-ong nam-kyang sung-gyur la / da-tar jung-wé dzok sang-
gyé / yang-dang yang-du sung-wa gang
12 Which was proclaimed by previous Buddhas, will be proclaimed by future ones,
And which the Perfect Buddhas of the present proclaim over and again,

13 And which, in the Great Tantra of Illusion's Net, was magnificently chanted
By countless delighted great holders of the vajras, holders of the esoteric mantras.

14 O Protector, so that I (too) may be a holder of the esoteric (teachings) of all the Perfect

15 And shall elucidate it to limited beings, in accord with their individual intents,

18 Illuminating the triple world and taming the four demonic foes,
And displaying a smile, cleansing the three evil states for limited beings,

20 “Excellent, O glorious Holder of the Vajra, (I say) excellent to you, Vajrapāni,
You who possess great compassion for the sake of the welfare of wandering beings.

21 Rise to the occasion to hear from me, now, The Litany of Names of the jñāna-body,

22 Because of that, Overlord of the Esoteric, it’s excellent that I’m revealing it to you; (So)

24 The family of the world and beyond the world, the family of the great one illuminating the

30 Great desire great offering, the provider of joy to limited beings;
Great anger great offering the great foe of all afflictive emotions.

44 Being lord of the ten bhūmīs, he is protector established on the ten bhūmīs;

46 Beginningless and by nature free from mental fabrication, by nature, the accordant state; by

47 Non-dual, the speaker of non-duality, settled at the endpoint of what’s perfectly so;

49 Preceptor of hosts, leader of hosts, lord of hosts, master of hosts with power;
With great strength, the one who is keen in carrying the load, who has the great practice, with
no need for another way.

50 Lord of speech, master of speech, eloquent in speech, with mastery over speech and

cooled down, no longer sullied.

56 With his aim accomplished, his thought accomplished, and rid of all conceptual thought,

Creator of diverse bodily forms, great sage, worthy of offerings, worthy of honor.

76 Mañjughosa, with a lovely voice, enormous volume, a tremendous sound unique in the

A voice resounding to the ends of space, the best of those possessing a voice.

160 Homage to you, the Buddhas’ smile; Homage to you, the Buddhas’ laugh;
Homage to you, the Buddha’s speech; Homage to you, the Buddha’s internal state.
Homage to you, rising from space; Homage to you, arising from jñāna.
gyu-thrül dra-wa khyö-la dü / sang-gyé röl-tön khyö-la dü / tham-ché tham-ché khyö-la dü /
ye-shé ku-nyi khyö-la dü

wa gön-mé nam-dang ni
165 “We rejoice, O Lord, excellent, excellent, well said.
For us, the great aim has (now) been fulfilled, the attainment of a perfect, full enlightenment

dak-chak yang-dak dzok-pa yi / jang-chub thob-pé dön-chen dzé / gyu-thrül dra-wé tshül-tän
pa / di-ni nam-dak leg-pé lam
166 And for the wandering world also, lacking a protector, wishing for the fruit of complete
liberation,
