1. DRAMA, FICTION, NONFICTION, POETRY
2. DRAMA- A drama is appealing, dramatic, and realistic because it depicts characters in a genuine and credible
manner. It's similar to a short narrative in that it has characters, a plot, a setting, and symbolism.
FICTION- Fantastical and imagined notions from ordinary life may be included into a fictional work. Plot, exposition,
foreshadowing, rising action, climax, declining action, and resolution are all vital parts.
NON-FICTION- Literary nonfiction is distinct in that it tells a compelling story with plot, setting, and characters based
on true occurrences. Rather than simply conveying information, this type of writing emphasizes tone and
storytelling.
POETRY- Poetry is a unique language that blends and uses words to convey meaning and communicate ideas,
feelings, sounds, gestures, signs, and symbols, among other things.

Activity 1
TRISTAN CAFE
I've decided that Tristan Cafe belongs to the "Flash Fiction" genre after reading the story. This is a very brief
narrative with a word count of fewer than 1000. Despite the fact that it is only a few words long, it was able to stir

emotions and engage the reader's imagination. The author did not go into great depth, instead concentrating on the
most crucial points. There was still character and plot development despite the book's length.

ASSESSMENT 1
TRISTAN CAFE

Tristan Café is a work of flash fiction written in the twenty-first century. The narrative portrays extreme
shortness, requiring the reader to carefully study the story in order to fully get its message/meaning. The story's
sentences and words lead in a different direction/to somewhere else. The last sentence in the last section provides
narrative insight. Tristan Cafe is a literary work from the twenty-first century. It falls into the category of flash
fiction. Because it is such a brief work, it is classified as flash fiction. It is less than 1000 words long. The narrative
'Tristan Cafe' is about love, and the idea of the story is that love is traditional. The format of flash fiction stories is
similar to that of a film. The stories in flash fiction are quite short. They have a beginning, a middle, and an
end. They're usually surprising in some way.

ASSESSMENT 2
1. Genre consists of four elements or parts: character, story, plot and setting. An equation for remembering the
genre is: Story. The structure of the movie: the concept, the plot of the movie/the action, the setting, and the
characters of the story are the features that make various genres similar in terms of structure.

2. Categorizing films makes it easier for viewers to figure out what they like and want to see. Placing a film in a
specific genre or category does not detract from its quality by implying that if it fits into a genre, it is average and
lacks uniqueness and innovation.
