What’s New
1. What are the four conventional literary genres have you found in the puzzle?
 The four conventional literary genres are drama, nonfiction, fiction, and poetry.
2. What are their unique features?
 POETRY - is an imaginative awareness of experience expressed through meaning, sound,
and rhythmic language choices to evoke an emotional response. It has been known to employ
meter and rhyme. The very nature of poetry as an authentic and individual mode of expression
makes it nearly impossible to define.
 DRAMA- is a composition in prose or verse presenting in dialogue or pantomime a story
involving conflict more contrast of character, especially on intended to be acted on a stage: a
play. It may be any situation or series of events having vivid, emotional, conflicting, or striking
interest.
 FICTION- is literature created from the imagination, not presented as fact. though it may be
based on a true story or situation. Types of literature in fiction include the novel, short story,
and novella.
 NON-FICTION- is based on facts and the author's opinion about a subject. The purpose of
nonfiction writing is to inform and sometimes to persuade. Its examples are biographies,
articles from textbooks and magazines, and newspapers.

Answer:
The literary genre of the text above is flash fiction.

Assessment 1
Tristan Cafe had fallen in love with her best friend, she is now on a long-distance.
Tristan Cafe could not forget her best friend that he had fallen in love with. because of the
memories they have spent so much together and did not have the time to confess his love for
her. But at some point, he finally realizes that it's time to move on and realizes that he, himself
deserves to be happy. It qualifies as a 21-century literary price because nowadays some
people are scared or don’t have the guts to tell the person their feelings or emotions about
love, and realizing that it's too late for them to confess or telling them how much they love that
kind of specific person. I put myself in the shoes of Tristan Cafe because recently I didn't have
the guts to tell my feelings and realized that he finds someone else already but I'm happy for
both of them.

Activity 2
TEXT TALK NOVEL is like messaging, email format narratives. stories fold almost completely in
dialogue simulating social network exchange.
A Blog (a truncation of "weblog") is a discussion or informational website published on the World
Wide Web consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries (posts).
Hyper poetry is a form of digital poetry that uses links using hypertext mark-up. It is a very visual
form and is related to hypertext fiction and visual arts. The links mean that a hypertext poem has no
set order, the poem moving, or being generated in response to the links that the reader/user chooses.
Similarities: All genres use the web to share and present stories.
Differences:
Text-Talk Novels - present stories using SNS (Social Networking Sites).
Blog - a page or website with features stories that are p[posted and regularly updated.
Hyper Poetry – uses hyperlinks to connect to the other parts of the literary piece.

Additional Activity
1. The letter A is Text-Talk Novels while the other one is Drama.
2. Text–talk novels are usually written in prose, or maybe the standard phrase structure, totally free of
a specific pattern or rhythm. Drama is generally composed in the type of dialogue and will usually use
much more poetic structures. But both have a plot, a primary theme, and usually both minor and
major characters.
