What I Have Learned

After reading this module, I have learned that data collection procedure is a systematic process of gathering
observations or measurements. One-on-one interviews is a quantitative data collection method that was
traditionally conducted face-to-face but has shifted to telephonic and online platforms.
The topic that I like the most is the quantitative data because this type of data is numerical in nature and can
be mathematically computed so it is easier than the qualitative data.
The topic I value the most was the data collection procedure because even though you know the difference
between quantitative data and qualitative data but you don’t know their procedure it is useless. Data collection
procedure was the most important part in this lesson.

Forms of Research Questions Data Collection Reason

1. How did the school programs prepare the SURVEY It helps to explain and evaluate
students for what they will do after they how and what the school does to
graduated from high school? prepare the students.
2. What are the prepared programs of the INTERVIEW Using interview in gathering data
school for their students after they can help to provide evidence that
graduated from high school? answer what are the preparations
and prepared programs of the
school for the students.
3. How does restricting the use of mobile SURVEY In this research question it is better
phones in school affect the student’s to do survey in gathering data
social interaction? because the question is asking in
particular ask for restrictions of the
usage of mobile phones.
4. How do students define online learning INTERVIEW Interview can help to identify how
engagement? do students define online learning
engagement by open question
wherein the students are free what
they want to tell and provide their
own experience.

What I Have Learned

After reading this module, I have learned that qualitative data is needed to conduct any action to gather
data that will answer the research questions that is the main point of the research. Also, the qualitative data is
not numerical and doesn’t involve any numbers.

What is the most challenging moment in this lesson and why?

The most challenging moment in this lesson is that, how to identify what data collection method should the
researchers use in particular questions. It is challenging for me because you should identify briefly what you
should use in the research and if you fail to do it the research will failed.

What I Can Do
1. How is studying in this time of pandemic, is it really difficult for everyone?
2. How do you cope with the effects of COVID-19?
3. What is the most important lesson that you’ve learned about the pandemic?
4. What are the difficulties that you experience during the pandemic?
5. What should be done to lessen the boredom of the students during pandemic?
