SERVER SIDEWORK CHECKLIST


OPENING TASKS

1. Unstack chairs from tables


2. Ensure dining room looks tidy
3. Wipe off surfaces
4. Wipe off menus
5. Check table condiments and/or condiment station
6. Unload clean dishes and place them in side stations
7. Set up outdoor table

RUNNING TASKS
1. Wipe off the tables after each guest
2. Wipe off the chairs if noticeably dirty
3. Push in chairs
4. Set tables for next guest
5. Tidy up menus
6. Replenish table condiments, salt, pepper, and sweeteners
7. Ask other stations if they require assistance

END OF SHIFT TASKS


1. Clean tables in your section
2. Sweep floors under your tables and chairs
3. Roll flatware in napkins
4. Remove any visible trash from dining room floor
5. Ask the supervisor to approve the cleanliness of your section
6. Restock low condiments
7. Put away clean dishes
8. Push in chairs
9. Check with other stations if they require assistance

CLOSING TASKS
1. Wipe down tables
2. Wipe chairs and booths
3. Stack chairs on tables
4. Clean around POS areas
5. Log out the register with POS system
