Scene 1

(Establishing the set)

(Mother walk in the scene, Koykoy holds on her mother’s arm. Mother is
busy talking to her phone.)
Mother: (Talking to her phone) Yes sir! Ready na ang report for
today’s presentation.
(Mother covers her phone’s mic and faced koykoy)
koykoy dali-a na da dul-ong ta pa ka sa school mo!
(They walk Towards the tyangge and continued talking to her
phone)
Yes sir im ready for my promotion!
(Mother faced the vendor)
Isa gani sina miss. (Continues talking to her phone and
paying no attention to Koykoy)
Koykoy: Nay di ko na uyon. Amo na akon gusto huh. Nay! Nanay!
(Koykoy pouts and looks sad. Suddenly she looked from a distance and
suddenly laughed)
(Mother paid her purchased goods and continue to walk away not
noticing that koykoy no longer is with her. Mother Exit)
Koykoy:(Realized that her mother is gone) Nay? Nay? Nay?!
(Koykoy Exit)

Scene Mother and Koykoy

(Mother enters worried)
Mother: (Looks worried and searching) Koykoy!Koykoy!
(Mother approach some passerby)
Excuse me, may Nakita kamo nga bata? Mo ni kataas naka
jumper suit kag stripes nga long sleeves?
(Passerby shook his head, she approached the barker)
Mother: Excuse me, may Nakita kamo nga bata? Mo ni kataas naka
jumper suit kag stripes nga long sleeves?
Barker: Wala maam.
(Mother approached baliw)
Mother: excuse---(Pulubi look at mother and suddenly laughed) ay!
(Looking disgusted, looked at pulubi with disdain for a
brief moment then left)
Mother: Ahay din na to bata ko man! (Suddenly phone rings) Yes sir.
I’m sorry sir I’m going to be late. Nadula ang akon bata
sir. Ha-(She paused and looked down looking shocked) Im
sorry, Cancelled na ang promotion ko? Sir? Please sir!
(She put her phone back to her bag) Jusko! Din na to ang
bata nga to man?
(Mother exit)
(Koykoy enters)
Koykoy: Nay? Diin ka nay? Akigan naman ko sini ni nanay! Permi lang
ako na akigan ni nanay. Di ya ko guro love. Permi lang siya
work. Work work work.
Walks across the stage looking for her mother)
Nay? Diin ka na nay! Nahadlok ako nay!
(She walks to the center and slumped, crying)
(Mother Enters)
Mother: Koy?! Koykoy!
(Mother approached koykoy, Koykoy hears her mother and looked back.
She stands up and cried runs toward her mother)
Koykoy: Nay! (Continues to cry)
Mother: Din ka halin? Ok ka lang? Baw koykoy! (Mother feels
relieved, but about to cry) Ok ka lang?
Koykoy: (Nods her head)
Mother: Jusko koykoy! Kung diin diin ka pa ga hapit hapit abi! Tan
awa bala, di dun ko ma promote tungod simo! Pwerti gd tana
kanimo ka sarawayon nga bata! Anhon ta nalang ka man!
Koykoy: (Looked sad and angry) Di mo ko love! (Started crying again)
Mother: Nugay inarte! Dali-a na di kay late nag gd ko sa obra!

(Mother holds koykoy arm and drag her.)

Koykoy: (Removes her mother’s hand) Di mo ko love!
(Runs to backstage. Koykoy exit)
Mother: Koykoy balik gi! Di magdalagan basi mabungguan ka sang
salakyan!
(Mother hurried and chased after Koykoy to backstage. Exit)

Final scene:
(From backstage Barker enters carrying Koykoy, bloody and full of
bruises.)
Barker: Ang bata nabungguan!
(Mother enter)
Mother: Koykoy! Ang bata ko!
(Move towards barker)
