1. Read your reference book from page 77 to 89.


2. Answer the following questions:
a. How is freedom an expression of humanity?
b. How is freedom related to self-determination?
c. How can the loss of freedom lead to dehumanization?
d. Why are voluntariness and responsibility important elements of
freedom?
e. Is the choice of “doing nothing” a valid and moral choice? In what
situation is this choice acceptable?
f. How can self-reflection aid you in exercising freedom and making
choices?
3. Summarize your ideas on freedom by completing the table. Copy the table
and write your responses in each column.
