Work
Immersion
Obstacles
1.List down 3-5 potential obstacles you may encounter on Work Immersion?

 Time Management
 Uncertain Adaptability
 Constant Pressure to Keep Up

2.What actions can you do to overcome the obstacles? You may

use an appropriate graphic organizer to show your listed obstacles
with the corresponding actions to overcome them.

 Time Management - The actions that I can do to overcome

the obstacle with time management is by making a schedule
and listing the tasks that I need to do. After that is to prioritize
those tasks that are more important than those less
important.

 Uncertain Adaptability – To overcome uncertain adaptability

is to get out of your comfort zone. You'll get confronted with
scenarios you wouldn't expect to encounter. By that, you will
be more adaptable and analyze how to handle new situations
more effectively.

 Constant Pressure to Keep Up - To overcome the constant

pressure to keep up at work immersion is to stay focused and
keep your attention on what needs to be accomplished.
Remember to remain calm and keep your mind firmly focused
on finishing your task.

3.If you would be given the chance to experience an actual work in

a work immersion venue in your barangay suited for your track and
strand, what could it be and why do you think you should be
deployed there? Briefly explain your answer in one (1) paragraph.

If I would be given the chance to experience actual work in a work

immersion venue in our barangay, it would be related to the
barangay's treasury. I think I should be deployed there because as
an aspiring future accountant, it will be beneficial for me to
experience being in that work immersion. I also think that I can
apply my knowledge and the things that I have learned from my
strand during my 11th and 12th grades. Having the chance to
experience it will help me know the circumstances that I might face
at work in the future.
Activity 3: Work Ethics in Me
Directions: Among the different work ethics we have studied, which
among them do you often practice at home, in school, or anywhere? In
five sentences, write instances you practiced it.
1. At this time of the pandemic, attendance is a must during online classes, so I always make
sure to attend on time and avoid absences.
2. Wherever I am, I always make sure to answer honestly whenever I am talking.
3. When it comes to schoolwork, I always make it a point to finish everything
before the deadline and submit it on time.
4. At times, I act with a positive attitude towards things and think carefully
about how to handle the situation.
5. When someone tells me something, and he said that we should keep it for
the both of us, I will keep my mouth shut.

Activity 4. Work Ethics On the Go!

Directions: Answer the following questions after each situation.
A. If you start your Work Immersion or even Culminating Activity, you
will be told your exact schedule and time you are in the workplace and
time when you are to be out. How will you keep good record of
attendance considering that attendance matters?

I will keep a good record of attendance by planning ahead of time. The night before my
work, I will prepare everything and make sure everything is all set. I’ll also have a schedule, get
enough sleep, and set an alarm earlier than the estimated time of preparedness. Attendance
matters during work immersion, so I will make sure to always be on time, do and submit
everything on time.

B. Two scenarios below happen in the real world. How would you
apply your Work Ethics in the following situations?

1.There might be times your boss allows you to work from home. Having the
permission to work from home, you just took some office supplies, anyway
you are using it for work from home.
In this situation, it is not ethical to take home some office supplies unless it was informed to my
boss. I'll ask for his permission, and I will explain to him that it will be beneficial for me to
work at home. It is better to inform my boss about it, and if he agreed permitted me to take
home some office supplies, then that's the only time I'll take it home. But on the other hand, it is
better to buy and have my supplies.

2.There are companies or other workplaces that allow trainees like Work
Immersion students to just finish the work for the day and they can go home.
That scenario happens to you, so you can go home already as per instruction. But
you see other trainees like you are still working.

In this situation, I will help and assist them in making their task. In that way, the job that needs to be done
will be done immediately. Even if they don't ask for help, deep within, they need assistance. So I will
insist on helping them. In work ethics, teamwork is very crucial when it comes to helping others.
Working with the other trainees is far better than working alone with no one to turn to for help. Always
help one another in achieving better accomplishments.
