What are the purposes of learning activities?

The purpose of learning activities is to fundamentally let the learners learn the
necessary topic that will be or is being discussed in a lesson. Yet, it is likewise a thing
of learning a particular idea while having fun. Learning activities does necessarily focus
to learning it is way to let the student learn a particular lesson in an enjoyable way. It
makes students think of learning as a meaningful aspect.

What is the importance of active learning?

Enabling learning is the mere focus of active learning but with collaboration the
learning becomes more encouraging and engaging. This is the importance of active
learning, creating a collaborative and encouraging classroom where learners are
deeply encouraged to know ideas in a particular lesson. It is more fun learning in this
way than any other.

Based on the Science Curriculum Guide, plan 1 major learning activity that will facilitate
the development of critical thinking and problem solving on your selected lesson.

Internal Structure of Earth-Hard Boiled Earth
Procedure:
1. Hard boil a large-sized chicken egg.
2. Place the egg on top of a plate the tap it lightly in different places to produce cracks of
various lengths and sizes.
3. Using a paintbrush, color the entire egg, making sure that the cracks will become
visible once stroked with the brush.
4. Gently Squeeze the egg until some parts of the shell finally breaks up.
5. Without removing the shell, cut the egg into half. Observe the different layers present
inside the egg.
Think this over:
1. What do the egg, the pieces of the shell, and the cracks in the shell represent?
2. If all of the egg’s shell will totally crack, resembling the Earth’s crust, what might
happen to Earth?
3. Illustrate a cross section of the egg when cut into half.
4. Aside from eggs, what other materials do you think can be used to represent the
structures of the Earth?
