Please consider this:

What are the main differences between your eating habits and your grandparent/relative?

The main differences are… There are also some similarities…

And Why do you think there is a different from your eating habits and your grandparent(s)/relative?

Give at least 2 examples/considerations.

 the fact that food quality has mainly decreased over the last two decades.
 Milk that we drink mixed with water is not full- fat milk
 Eating organic food is expensive and nearly impossible today.
 Almost all fruits and vegetables are lacking vital nutrients because of pesticides and chemical
fertilizers they get sprayed with.
 We eat food for the pleasure of enjoying it not for the health.
 We no longer value real food.
 Our food contains a large number of calories from sugar or fat with little dietary fiber, protein,
vitamins or minerals.
 Another distraction is television and social media
 Besides all these factors, lifestyle has mainly changed over two decades. Now people are less
active and spend major time sitting.
 No wonder diseases like diabetes, blood pressure, high cholesterol and uric acid are very
common these days even with young people. This was not the case with our grandparents.
 They were fit, active and preferred real food over junk.
 For them, eating out was saved for some special occasions unlike us.
 the Internet has brought quality produce to our doorsteps at the click of a button

I think that it impossible for our food to be healthy and nutritious as it was before.

Though it is hard to eat real food 24/7 these days but there are certain changes which we need to take up
in order to eat right and stay fit.

 Don’t eat anything at least 2 hours before sleeping.

 Eat less sugar and drink more water.
 Never skip your breakfast.
 Avoid fizzy drinks and prefer homemade food.
 Avoid fast food
Etc……

Finally, we all need to change our attitude towards food and lifestyle, and even though we are more
educated and learned in nutrition today, our lifestyle and eating habits are perhaps what needs to be
changed.

If we won’t change it, this would definitely come at the cost of our valuable health and I am sure we all
want to stay healthy.

It is difficult to preserve the old eating habits and traditions especially in this rapidly evolving society
