Clause Two: Helps people restore, maintain, and maximize their physical strength,
function, movement, and general well-being by addressing underlying physical
problems.
• Treatment space based on room larger than the area around a patient's bed.
Second Clause: To avoid unnecessary transport to and from the main unit, space
and facility based therapy could be considered.
INFRASTRUCTURE REQUIREMENTS
4-. Main Clause: It must be located in a place that has a clean environment and
must comply with current local ordinances, if any at all times.
Clause Two: The physical facility will be developed and maintained to provide a
safe environment for patients, their families, staff, and visitors.
5-. Principal Clause: The total area can be broadly classified into two categories,
viz. Common Area and Treatment Area.
Second clause: The common area must include facilities such as reception,
waiting, bathroom, consultation, etc. The treatment area shall include the space
requirements for the main equipment and ancillary services.
6-. Principal Clause: The common area can be shared between the different
divisions/sections of the center/HCO.
Second clause: Within the center, various work sections can also share resources
and space without compromising the quality of the work.
7-. Principal Clause: The physiotherapy center shall have a prominent sign or sign
displaying the name of the center in the local language on the door or in the
building.
Second Clause: The following signage must be well displayed in the language
understood by the local public in the area:
8-. Main Clause: The furniture and fixtures will be available according to the
activities and workload of the physiotherapy center
Furniture and accessories must be functional at all times. Below are the furniture
requirements:

•Chairs
• Examination table/sofa
• Screens

ACOUSTICS:
9-. Principal Clause: Most areas of the therapy unit must be open space.
Second clause: Most of the Unit's therapy areas are open spaces. In addition, the
activities that take place there require hard and impermeable floors (wood or
laminated vinyl) and generate noise.
10-. Main Clause: existing areas within the Unit require acoustic privacy
Clause Two: Other areas within the unit require acoustic privacy to be effective or
to avoid embarrassment, such as Respiratory Treatment Rooms and rooms used
for women's health disorders
ILLUMINATION
Eleven-. Main clause: Lighting levels for patients with visual impairment must be
taken into account.
CLIMATE CONTROL
12-. First Clause: there must be a control of the temperature and ventilation in the
treatment areas.
Second clause: It is imperative that the gym has air conditioning. Regardless of
orientation, there must be means of solar control.
INTERIOR DESIGN
13-. Clause One: The Unit must strive to provide a welcoming and supportive
environment, as it is essential that patients feel positive about returning to the Unit
on a regular basis.
Clause Two: The physiotherapy process is usually long, since patients begin their
attendance at the Unit as hospitalized patients and continue as outpatients.
14-. First Clause: The center must have a Reception area, Waiting area and
Consultation area
Second Clause: The reception, waiting, consultation room, etc. they will be
adequate to the demands and workload of the physiotherapy center
Fifteen-. First Clause: The auxiliary area/space must be available according to the
workload.
Second Clause: The auxiliary area/space for the storage of records, reagents,
consumables, stationery, etc., including the dining area for staff, must be available
according to the workload.
16-. First Clause: The Electrotherapy area (Adult / Pediatrics) must have at least
one 10-foot X 7-foot chamber for the Diathermy unit and another chamber of the
same size for other electrotherapy modalities with examination tables, linens, and
electrical charging equipment required, according to the modalities specifications.
Second Clause: Separate space for wax bath and hydrocollator according to
patient load and equipment specifications
17-. First Clause: for the exercise therapy area there must be a minimum of one
consultation room (at least 15 feet X 10 feet), treatment rooms/cabins (at least
three of 10 feet X 10 feet each) and space for bars parallel bars, gait training and
exercises on the floor or on the mat.
Second Clause: The center must have essential facilities such as sinks,
bathrooms, etc.
18-. First Clause: the Mechanotherapy area must have a minimum of 10 feet X 7
feet chamber to accommodate the cervical and lumbar traction systems
(intermittent and constant)
19-. First Clause: For the manual therapy area, there must be a manual therapy
table or examination table.
Second clause: The manual therapy stretcher or the examination stretcher. can be
accommodated in exercise therapy space
Twenty-. First Clause: For the Hydrotherapy area, it must be placed in a separate
chamber of the size according to the specifications of the equipment.
REQUISITOS DE INFRAESTRUCTURA
4-. Clausula Principal: Deberá estar situado en un lugar que tenga un entorno
limpio y deberá cumplir con las ordenanzas locales vigentes, si las hubiere en
cada momento.
6-. Clausula Principal: El área común puede ser compartida entre las diferentes
divisiones/secciones del centro/HCO.
Clausula segunda: Dentro del centro, varias secciones de trabajo también pueden
compartir los recursos y el espacio sin comprometer la calidad del trabajo
7-. Clausula Principal: El centro de fisioterapia deberá tener un cartel o letrero
destacado que muestre el nombre del centro en el idioma local en la puerta o en el
edificio.
Clausula Segunda: La siguiente señalización deberá estar bien expuesta en el
idioma que entienda el público local en el área:

9-. Clausula Principal: La mayoría de las áreas de la unidad de terapia deben ser
de espacios abiertos.
ILUMINACION
11-. Clausula principal: Se debe tener en cuenta los niveles de iluminación para
pacientes con discapacidad visual.

Clausula Segunda: El proceso de fisioterapia suele ser largo, ya que los pacientes
comienzan su asistencia a la Unidad como pacientes hospitalizados y continúan
como pacientes ambulatorios.
14-. Clausula Primera: El centro debe contar con un área de Recepción, área de
Espera y área de Consulta
Clausula Segunda: La recepción, espera, sala de consulta, etc. serán adecuadas a
la exigencia y carga de trabajo del centro de fisioterapia
17-. Clausula Primera: para el área de terapia de ejercicios debe contar Mínimo
una sala de consulta (al menos 15 pies X 10 pies), salas/cabinas de tratamiento (al
menos tres de 10 pies X 10 pies cada una) y espacio para las barras paralelas, el
entrenamiento de la marcha y los ejercicios en el piso o en la colchoneta.
18-. Clausula Primera: el área de Mecanoterapia debe contar Mínimo con una
cámara de 10 pies X 7 pies para acomodar los sistemas de tracción cervical y
lumbar (intermitente y constante)
Clausula Segunda: Mínimo una cámara de 10 pies X 7 pies para acomodar los
sistemas de tracción cervical y lumbar (intermitente y constante) con mesa de
tracción y otro material para proporcionar un espacio de trabajo adecuado para
llevar a cabo el procedimiento seguro.
19-. Clausula Primera: Para el área de terapia manual se debe contar con una
camilla de terapia manual o la camilla de exploración.
