BIR “on premises” consolidated Cloud Data Center

Leveraging Oracle Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer

Presented by

April 28, 2021

Executive Summary
• As BIR aims to develop a strategy to modernize its core IT systems
and data center to be able to achieve its Digital Transformation and
Tax reform targets.
• The data sovereignty rule by Philippines government requires a broad
range Taxpayer data to be hosted in country including;
• All of BIR workloads
• Critical infrastructure
• Oracle offers BIR to leverage the Oracle Dedicated Cloud at Customer
(DRCC) solution for its future consolidated “on Premise” Cloud
Datacenter.
• BIR will benefit from the DRCC in multiple ways:
I. Projected cost savings of over 30% compared to the current
annual spend
II. Reduce Cybersecurity vulnerabilities
III. Rapid scaling ability, increased system availability and
performance
IV. Common cloud environment for BIR applications
V. Consolidation of data centers and databases
VI. Access to ongoing innovation and modernization
