ACTIVITIES FOR FUNDAMENTALS OF COMPUTER OPERATIONS
• Point to the following default desktop folders, Documents, Computer, Recycle bin etc
and carefully write the screen tips.

• Documents (My Documents): Access letters, reports, notes, and other kinds of
documents.
• Computer (My Computer): Shows the disk drives and other hardware connected to
your computer.
• Recycle bin: Contains the files and folders that you have deleted.

• Write the steps you followed to Change the Background, Screen Saver and
Date/Calendar
• Background:
• Right click on your Desktop
• Click on Personalize
• Move your Mouse to Desktop Background and click it
• Choose the image you want as your background by clicking it
• Press Enter or click on Save Changes
• Close the Personalization window
• Screen Saver:
• Right click on your Desktop
• Click on Personalize
• Move your Mouse to Screen Saver
• On the Screen Saver Settings window click on the drop down button
• Select the Screen Saver of your choice by click on it
• Click on Apply
• Press Enter or click on Ok
• Close the Personalization window
• Date:
• On the Desktop move your Mouse to the bottom right corner
• On the Taskbar click on the Date and Time icon
• Click on Change Date and Time settings
• Click on Change Date and Time
• Move the Mouse to time icon and set the time
• Click on Ok
• Click on Apply
• Click on Ok
• Calendar:
• On the Desktop move your Mouse to the bottom right corner
• On the Taskbar click on the Date and Time icon
• Click on Change Date and Time settings
• Click on Change Calendar settings
• Edit the Date to the correct Date
• Click on Apply and click on Ok
• Edit the Region and Language window and click Apply and then click Ok
• Click Ok
• Click on Apply
• Click on Ok
