II. Course Name: FUNDAMENTALS OF CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION AND INTELLIGENCE
III. Course Description: This course focuses on the implementation of the Rights of the Accused and Victims Welfare. This also covers the different
procedures in Crime Scene Investigation and Police Intelligence and the application of the different Fields of Forensic Sciences or Criminalistics
in Criminal Investigation and Intelligence. Likewise, this involves the application of the principles of Criminal Law, Evidence, and Procedures and
other related laws.
IV. Course Learning Outcomes:
CLO1. Conduct Criminological research on crimes, crime scene, victims, and offenders
CLO2. Internalize the concepts of Human rights and victim welfare in investigation of cases;
CLO3. Demonstrate competence and broad understanding in law enforcement administration, public safety, and criminal justice in relation to investigation
CLO4. Utilize the appropriate Field of Forensic Science or Criminalistics applicable in the achievement of the Three Fold Aims of investigation.
CLO5. Apply the Principles of and Jurisprudence of Criminal Law, evidence, and criminal procedure in relation with investigation
CLO6. Collaborate effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams during investigation.
CLO7. Engage in lifelong learning and understanding of the need to keep abreast on the developments in the field Criminology and Criminal Justice.

XI. Computation of Grades: The passing score is 50% of the total items in the examinations, while the passing grade for the semester is 75% or
3.00. The basis for the computation of the semester grade is as follows:
Midterm grade: 70% Class standing and 30% midterm examination
Final Grade: 70% Class standing and 30% final examination
Semester grade: 50% midterm grade and 50% final grade
