As I stare at the small glass, I come to the realization that it reminded me of myself a small,

empty person who is yearning for something to fill me up, and there it is I think of a wine. A

wine and a small glass, or what we used to refer to as a shot glass, make the ideal pairing, inside

the wine that I drew is a woman who stands in as my professor; she is knowledgeable about

our course and contains all the lessons I am eager to learn. My wine's lid has a paintbrush, a

color palette, and the entire world on it. The meaning of contemporary art, which my teacher

is so full of, has been greatly simplified, and as a (wine) teacher, I expected her to fill me in on

her experiences, lessons, and all about the arts for me as a (small glass) student. Similar to how

a shot glass is incomplete without wine, a student is incomplete without a teacher, I'm hoping

that by the end of the semester, the small glass that I use to represent myself will be overflowing

with the knowledge, wisdom and understanding that my teacher teaches me about

contemporary art.
