A structure found inside the nucleus of a cell.

A chromosome is made up of proteins and

DNA organized into genes. Each cell normally contains 23 pairs of chromosomes

Chromosomes are the highest level of organisation of DNA and proteins. The main function of
chromosomes is to carry the DNA and transfer the genetic information from parents to
offspring.
XY -male chromosomes
XX- female chromosomes
DNA- is a molecular blueprint for living organisms that create RNA that in turn form proteins
that go on form life

DNA is a complex, long-chained molecule that contains the genetic blueprint for building and
maintaining all living organisms. Found in nearly all cells, DNA carries the instructions
needed to create proteins, specific molecules essential to the development and functioning of
the body.

DNA is called the blueprint of life because it contains the instructions needed for an
organism to grow, develop, survive and reproduce.
