With a narrative text I will tell a small summary of the story Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens This story is about a man named Scrooge who is very bitter and only cares the money, he is rude to everyone and is very selfish. But one day he sees his only friend Marley dead and the image of his dead friend’s face remains in his memory. One night the ghost of his friend appears and he is carrying chains, and he explains to scrooge that the chains are forged by himself with his actions in life, Marley explain to Scrooge What is going to happen to him if he does not change his attitude. His friend explains that three spirits will visit him at night. The first spirit that visits him is that of last Christmas which teaches him several of his Christmases throughout his life, this moves him remembering people from his past, the second spirit shows him the present Christmas and sees people around him going through difficult times. The last spirit shows Scrooge what his future will be like, if he doesn’t change, the spirit show how he would die alone and everyone would remember him as an evil man. Scrooge fearing the future showed by the third spirit decides to change his attitude and begins to mend damages and become generous. By analyzing the characters we have that scrooge was losing all his loved ones by just focusing on money, shows us how greed changes us, but that we can change and become better people. The character of Marley, his friend, shows us regret, and appreciation for not wanting his friend to live as he did, he helped change his friend’s fate even though he could not change his own.
In my opinión I think it is very important the message that
leaves us this story because it shows us that we must focus not only on material things Instead what really matters are the people around us and do not let ourselves become selfish and look for the best part of us, looking for being happy and make happy the people around us.
