One of the famous novels of the phenomenal writer Charles Dicken is A Christmas Carol.
This novel is a fantasy genre and takes place in London, England around 1836. This story takes
place on Christmas Day. This novel tells the story of a middle-aged man named Ebezener
Scrooge, who is rich but has a very stingy, stingy nature, and hates Christmas. And there was an
incident that would change Mr.'s life. Scrooge. This started when Mr.Scrooge was visited by his

hands in chains and approached Mr. Scrooge to warn Mr. Scrooge to change his nature and
inform that Mr. Scrooge will be visited by 3 ghosts. These 3 ghosts are the ghosts of the past, the
ghosts of the present, and the ghosts of the future, these 3 ghosts have their respective roles and
invite Mr.Scrooge to go on an adventure through time. The ghost of the past has a role to show
Mr. Scrooge's past life from childhood to adulthood, and why he hates holidays. Today's ghosts

family and close people at this time because of Mr. Scrooge's greediness. and future ghosts show
how death experienced by Mr. Scrooge. the three events Mr. Scrooge in will bring changes in
Mr.Scrooge's life.

There are several important points in the novel A Christmas Carol, namely when the
spirit of Jacob Marley came to Mr. Scrooge to warn him to immediately improve his attitude and
inform him that Mr. Scrooge will be visited by 3 ghosts, another important point is that the three
ghosts show past life, past. Now and the future will be experienced by Mr.Scrooge, and another
important point that when the future ghost shows the death experienced by Mr.Scrooge it is told
that the only person who cries for him is his employee, Bob Cratchit when other people feel
happy about it. his death.

These are the 3 quotes from A Christmas Carol Novel by Charles Dickens :

Quotes that we can get from this novel, the first one is from Scrooge, the main character
of this novel. “I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the
Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut
out the lessons that they teach!” This quote is said by Mr. Scrooge after he got lesson of his
spirits of Past, Present, and Future at Christmas carol, night before Christmas. The spirits that his
friends sent to him has awakened him into a better person.

The second one, “no space of regret can make amends for one life's opportunity misused”
This quote means we all cannot change what already happen in the past. So just keep moving
forward your life because we can not repeat the time.

Third, “There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good
humor.” this quote mean Mr. Scrooge is no longer lonely, because he is willing to accept the
people around him and decide to become a better person. Mr. Scrooge can laugh with his family
and friends

The quotes in the novel A Christmas Carol are of great moral value. As it is said that
"Nothing in the world is as infectious as laughter and a good sense of humor" and then "I will
live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The spirit of all three shall strive within me. I wil not
shut out the lesson that they teach "and also" No space of regret can pass through a person life
opportunity being abused".

This story tells of a greedy old man named Scrooge, Mr. Scrooge really hates Christmas,
one night, it is in Christmas carol, he is visited by a ghost who is his old friend who died 7 years
ago, then he gets advice from the three spirits on Christmas Eve, and he gets guidance. these
three spirits that have helped Mr. Scrooge and made him not hating Christmas and not greedy
anymore. Beautiful story.

In short, the novel A Christmas Carol takes place on Christmas day which tells of a
middle-aged man who is rich but has a very stingy nature named Ebezener Scrooge. The incident
that will change Mr.Scrooge's life begins when the spirit of his partner who died 7 years ago
suddenly comes to him and reminds him to change his attitude and informs him that Mr.Scrooge
will be visited by 3 ghosts, namely ghosts of the past, ghosts of the present and ghosts. future.
The adventures of exploring space and time experienced by Mr.Scrooge who are 3 ghosts will
completely change Mr.Scrooge's life.

This novel really gives a different impression when reading it, there is a sense of awe and
fear about how this story can be wrapped properly in one book, an image of how poverty is
experienced by others due to Mr.Scroge's greed, a terrible image of Mr. Scrooge who actually
makes everyone else happy except for his employees and his nephews. When Mr. Scrooge
adventures with the ghosts of today he sees his nephew defending him when others criticize him,
and also when his employees defend him when the employee's wife criticizes him, thinking that
this is shown so that Mr.Scrooge knows that no matter how bad he is to his employees and
nephews, they will always stand up for Mr. Scrooge, and this will make Mr. Scrooge even better.
This story provides a lot of moral messages for readers, as this story teaches that whatever
happened in the past should not make you turn into someone else, a bad person so that you fall
even deeper into it. Another moral message is that if we have more wealth, don't be stingy to
share with others because the slightest kindness will bring happiness to others who get it. This
book is worth reading in order to understand the importance of sharing even in difficult times, in
order to understand how important the role of family and people around us is in the lives we
experience.
The star-rating I can give is 9/10. I really like the concept of ideas compiled by the
author, how the plot happens in the story. The characters are described clearly, and how the
ending is full of moral messages. So that the book A Chrismast Carol by Charles Dickens is
indeed worth reading.
