b: We have a dinner reservation for four at 7:00 under the name


of …………..

waitress: Yes, Mr. ………., if you would please be seated over


in the waiting area, our hostess will be with you in a moment.

B: Thank you. Would it be OK if we have a cocktail while we


are waiting?

waitress: Of course, I will tell her.

B: I would really prefer an outside table. Would that be


possible?

waitress: Sure, if you would like one of those tables, I could


seat you right away.

B: Sure, that would be great! Thank you!

Waitress: Hello, I will be your waitress today. Can I get you


both any drinks?
A: Yes. I would like an iced coffee, please.
B: And I will have the same please.
Waitress: OK 2 iced coffees, here you are. Are you now ready to
order your, or would you like a few more minutes?
B: I think we are ready to order. I will have the chicken soup to
start, and the steak with fries and the mixed vegetables.
Waitress: How do you want the steak cooked rare, medium, or
well done?
A: I would like it well done, please.
B: I do not want a starter. I would like to have the fried chicken
with fries and a side salad please.
Waitress: Your meals will be here shortly.
B: OK
Waitress: Here are your meals. If you need anything else, just
ask. Have a nice meal.
B: THANKS YOU
Jane: Leslie, may I borrow your cell phone to call my mother
after we finish lunch?
Leslie: Yes, of course, Jane. And please, do not forget to ask
your mother whether you may go to the movies with us
afterwards.
Mary: Jane, could you pass the salt, please?
Jane: Sure, here you are.
Mary: And the pepper too, please. Thank you.
Jane: You are welcome.
Leslie: I ordered too many French fries. Would anybody care
for some?
Jane: Yes, I would like some.
Leslie: How about you, Mary?
Mary: No, thank you. I have enough food already.
Jane: Leslie, would you like some of my fried rice?
Leslie: Yes, please. Just a little bit.
Jane: Here you go.
Leslie: Oh, that is enough! No more, please.
Mary: Are we all done?
Leslie: I am ready anytime you are.
Jane: So am I. Shall we go?
