Science, Technology, and Society (STS) is an interdisciplinary field of study that aims to investigate
and comprehend the various ways that contemporary science and technology influence contemporary
culture, values, and institutions, as well as how contemporary values influence contemporary science
and technology. Science and Technology Studies (STS) studies how science and technology are created,
how they are incorporated into society, how they evolve according to social processes, and how society
responds to science and technology.

Graduates of the major have sophisticated critical faculties, transdisciplinary skills, and a broad
knowledge base. It gives them a foundation for citizenship in a world that is globalizing, diversifying, and
undergoing rapid technological and scientific change. It also prepares them for careers in business, law,
government, journalism, research, and education.

solve the various issues facing society. Essentially, Science and Technology have introduced us to the
establishment of modern civilization. This development contributes greatly to almost every aspect of
our daily life. Hence, people get the chance to enjoy these results, which make our lives more relaxed
and pleasurable. They can acquire lifelong skills that allow students to generate ideas, weigh decisions
intelligently and even understand the evidence behind public policy-making and these skills are integral
to every aspect of a student's education and life, from school to career.
