Making homemade soap can be a fun and creative activity.

Here is a simple recipe

for a basic homemade soap:

Ingredients:

2 cups of coconut oil

2 cups of olive oil
2 cups of distilled water
1 cup of lye (sodium hydroxide)
10-15 drops of your preferred essential oil (optional)
Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the coconut oil and olive oil. Stir until well
blended.

In a well-ventilated area, wearing protective gloves and goggles, carefully pour

the lye into the distilled water, stirring constantly until the lye is completely
dissolved.

Slowly pour the lye solution into the oil mixture, stirring constantly until the
mixture is well blended.

If desired, add 10-15 drops of your preferred essential oil to the mixture. Stir
well.

Transfer the mixture to a soap mold, such as a silicone loaf pan or individual soap
molds. Smooth the top with a spatula.

Cover the soap mold with a towel or plastic wrap to insulate it, and leave it in a
cool, dry place for 24-48 hours to allow the soap to harden.

Once the soap is hard, remove it from the mold and cut it into bars. If desired,
you can let the bars cure for an additional 4-6 weeks to allow them to fully harden
and develop a milder scent.

Your homemade soap is now ready to use! Store any leftover bars in a cool, dry
place for future use.
