Team Goal
● Draw attention to waste in the United States
Mission Statement
● Here at Istanbul our mission is to educate the youth on waste management and explore
the impact of promoting sustainability to a younger audience.
Roles (duties/tasks)
● Alyssa Michel: Member; complete slide 3 & 4, participate in every meeting, listen
actively, contribute original ideas, discuss how the organization will help the cause and
the public campaign
● Venus Ochsner: Member; complete slide 5 & 6, participate in every meeting, listen
actively, contribute original ideas, curate a motto/slogan for the organization and discuss
our target audience
● Marcelino Ortiz: Member; complete slide 1 & 2, participate in every meeting, listen
actively, contribute original ideas, introduce our organization and discuss the issue
concerned with
● Tyler Mire:
● Jean Cornejo: Team leader; edit rough draft presentation, in charge of coordinating
meetings, sending reminders of due dates, heading conversation in team meetings
Important Milestones
● February 8 – 11: Finish first two slides
● February 15 – 18: Finish third/fourth slides & Rough Draft of the final paper
● February 22 – 25: Finish fifth/sixth slides & Finalize presentation paper and fine tune full
powerpoint presentation.
Ground Rules and Norms of behavior
● In terms of communication, it will take place via zoom meetings and/or chat 1-2 times a
week. Discuss availability and set the next meeting time during the current meeting.
● If someone stops contributing for "n" reasons he/she needs to inform the team in advance
about the reason behind (ex. family emergency).
● Be willing to ask for help when needed.
● If the quality of the job is poor, the team member must do it again or present acceptable
adjustments.
● If a conflict occurs, we will work it out among ourselves and as a last resource ask the
teacher to act as a mediator.
● No lack of professionalism and respect will be tolerated.
● Evaluations will be impartial based on the amount and quality of work and not the
friendships developed.
