Worksheet Objectives:
1. Describe the human resource frame
2. Apply the human resource frame to your personal case situation

Complete the following making sure to support your ideas and cite from the textbook and other
course materials per APA guidelines. After the peer review, you have a chance to update this and
format for your Electronic Portfolio due in Module 6.

1) Briefly restate your situation from Module 1 and your role.

My role in the organization was as an intern. I was primarily a commercial real estate
intern that rotated throught the different sections of the real estate process such as project
management, assest management, acquisitions, and financing. The situation I am
describing is when the organization was remodling one of its older storage
sites in Utah. The goal was to make the facility and units more accessible, add more
units, remodel the units to make them air conditioned, and to build a three storied
bulidning that can be seen from the freeway. The problem was during construction we
had a materials shortage that hindered progress.

2) Describe how the human resources of the organization influenced the situation.

The HR department plays a crucial role in shaping the culture and policies of an
organization and can have a significant impact on employee morale, motivation, and
performance. This can include managing recruitment and hiring, employee training and
development, benefits and compensation, and addressing and resolving conflicts within
the workplace. They also help to ensure that the organization is compliant with all
relevant labor laws and regulations. How the HR department handles these
responsibilities in a particular situation can greatly influence the outcome.

3) Recommend how you would use the human resources for an alternative course of
action regarding your case.

I would take the steps of developing a clear plan of action that addresses the identified issues
and outlines specific steps for implementing the alternative course of action, Providing training
and support for employees to ensure that they are equipped to implement the plan of

action, and monitoring progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that the
alternative course of action is successful.

4) Reflect on what you would do or not do differently given what you have learned
about this frame.

5) For myself, personally, I would not take any different steps or do something differently in
the situation I was in. I think our HR department did a very good job of handling the
situation to the best of their abilites and in the end it worked out fine and the job got
done.
