Electrical Power Down

The following procedure is accomplished to remove all electrical power from the airplane.

NOTES: Captain, First Officer or Engineer:

This procedure is designed to be performed by one person. Before accomplishing the following steps, verify ADIRU, EMER LIGHTS, and PACK
switches are off and HYD PRESS SYS L+C+R message is displayed.
Normally this procedure is performed by the Engineer (Maintenance Staff).
As a Supplementary Procedure, this can be done from memory, by reading the procedure
APU selector and/or EXTERNAL POWER switch(es) ..................................................... OFF
before it is executed or with reference to the steps, reading the procedure while it is
executed. External power sources ........................................................................................... Removed
Verify that the external power AVAIL lights are extinguished.
If pilots are going to perform this procedure and they prefer to involve both pilots on the
execution, it is recommended that one pilot reads the procedure and the other performs the BATTERY switch .............................................................................................................. OFF
