Directions: Answer what are asked below.

What are the other devices that we can use as alternative in distance learning?

How to use the alternative devices to cater the both online and off (modular) learning in every
student?

1. The smartphone is gradually becoming an appealing learning tool for enhancing distant
education teaching and learning us. It’s use to allow for flexible course delivery, as well
as learner’s access to online learning platforms, course resources, and digital interaction.

2. Fostering online cooperation with other students is one of the advantages of having
computers in the classroom. Laptops assists students stay organized by allowing them to
keep track their assignments and use an online school calendar. Laptops make group work
easier by allowing students to meet in any location-whether it’s a library, a classroom, or
a student’s home and have access to all materials they’ll need such as classroom notes,
journal articles, online research, or software for creating videos, slideshows, or other
materials.

3. The tablets help to the students make remote learning and classroom study more
convenient and enjoyable. A tablet can provide students with instant access to online
resources, a way to read and modify documents, and a camera-display combo for video
lessons. Tablet can alter content such as videos and audio features. Tablets are great way
to keep students engaged and make lessons more interactive.

4. For students, a camera is an optional tool, but for the teachers, it is required. The majority
of modern computers already have one built in. if yours doesn’t work or your computer
doesn’t have one, you can purchase a webcam separately to use with your device.
If there is any of the following alternative devices in your home, discuss very briefly how the
following were used in your classes.

1. Smart phone

 It allows to use their smartphones to take notes or even take pictures of


lessons that are too complicated to copy by hand, they can just boot their
phones up and they can review anywhere. Smartphones gives notification to
the students if there is an assignment or classes will be.

 Students learn in a way they are comfortable. Students can get answers
quickly and it can create videos for project that’s why smartphones allow for
social learning.

2. Tablet

 It is god for educational purposes. Tablets will offer a better a battery life
and a camera quality which is good for virtual presentation.

 Tablets are also make it easy to watch videos that are relevant to what
students are learning in the classroom. Tablets can emulate natural social
interaction and interactivity.

3. Laptop

 Laptops allow students to collaborate with their classmates inside or outside


the classroom. It can also work together on a group projects even if they are
not in the same location.

 Laptops give students the flexibility and freedom they need to work on
academic assignments anytime, anywhere. No matter where you are, a
laptop allows you to bring your work with you.

4. Head phones

 Headphones are perfect accessories to the lessons plans. They make lesson
plan more easily heard, they create quieter classroom for better learning,
and they help students focus.

 Utilizing headphones or headsets for testing situations are beneficial for not
only listening comprehension and speech, but for dampening surrounding
noise and distractions to help students concentrate.
