What is a definition?
A definition is a description or explanation of the meaning of a word or term. A
definition places something in a class or category and then shows how it is
different from everything else in that same class or category. Definition may be
short and objective, as they are in a dictionary or longer and personal as in an
extended definition of agriculture.

Part of a definition.
A definition consists of the following parts.
THE TERM is the word which will be defined.
THE CLASS is the specific term belongs.
THE FUNCTION OF THE TERM is a special characteristic which makes this term
different from other members of the same class.

Markers of a definition.
We call markers of a definition real or nominal to each word or phrase verb which
link the term with the class in a real definition or this link the function with the
term in a nominal definition it means that markers are the same for both definition.

A real definition has two functions; it identifies the larger class (group or category)
that the term belongs, it provides distinguish characteristic.
