The document discusses the electrical requirements and power supply for a proposed steel melt shop project. It estimates the connected load will be 35 MVA, maximum demand will be 28 MVA, and annual energy consumption will be 125 MkWh. The electrical power supply will be provided at 33/66 kV 3-phase, 50 Hz from the local utility authority via a nearby substation, with lines connecting to an outdoor substation on site.

The electrical power supply for steel plant will be
made available at 33/66 kV 3-phase, 50 Hz from the UAE electrical Authority from the nearby located Substation. 33 kV lines will be received at an outdoor substation at the plant site and will be connected to the SVC and suitable distribution centers or stepped down to 11 kV / 6.6 kV, 440V by suitably rated power transformers. Further distribution to plant load centers will be through 11 kV / 6.6 kV, 440V indoor type switchgear.
