I HAVE A BALL
Instructor leads with imaginary ball held in both hands saying… “…I have a ball, I put it here (on an imaginary
body part)… I pepeta… I pepeta… I pepeta… I hand over the ball to … (chosing someone in the group)”;
Chosen person repeats the same script;
When saying “…I pepeta…” the person leading is juggling the imaginary ball using the body part;
This is repeated until all have had a chance;

ONE-TO-THREE-OR-FOUR
Instructor leads with the following cues expecting the indicated action in the fastest possible time:
Carry your luggage – participants individually carry imaginary bags;
Pack your luggage – participants in two’s mimic imaginary packing of bags to an overhead space;
Go on Safari – participants in three’s, two holding hands with the third person in between the two being
swayed around;
4 O’Clock Drink – participants in four’s have an imaginary sit drinking an imaginary drink;
This will be instructed with randomness, encouraging participants to get new partners each time they do
formations. The game stops with 4 teams formed.

THE ‘I’ IN THE ‘TEAM’ IDENTITY @Haller Park

‘1st Name 1st Letter Identity’ is an activity where all individuals will be asked to walk around the Haller
Park randomly and pick an item whose name starts with the first letter of their names. Each person will then
get an opportunity to give a pitch as to how the item picked speaks something about them in the format –
‘James, Jar, Jocular’.

This brings out the concept of Personal Identity in a team set-up as well as Creative Pitching.
• Participants to take a walk around and pick unique items whose name starts with the 1st letter of their
1st name;
• Participants to explain their identity in the format ‘1st Name – Identity Item – Descriptive Term with
same 1st letter;

Gorilla-Man-Gun

Teams stand facing each other in a line with reasonable distance in between. Once ready to play, team reps
are to stand back to back. At the word "GO" team reps turn around immediately giving their gesture of play.
Teams decide before "GO" what they are going to be.

GORILLA roars out loud with paws/folded palms facing out.

MAN just stands there with his/her head faced up (as a stance of pride) with hands and arms folded.
GUN is using the hand shaped like a gun and the person says bang.
Here are the rules: Gorilla beats man (because he his bigger and stronger); Man beats gun (because he
invented it); and gun beats gorilla.
Whoever beats the other earns a point - we play a round of 5 tries.

IDENTITY FLAG - Meet At The Beach, Make Your Flag

Welcome to the sandy beach of Sarova Whitesands.

You have been provided with a piece of cloth per team. On the other end of the beach, you will find an
assortment of paint and paint brushes.

The objective of this challenge is to design a flag for your teams. The logos were earlier shared. There is no
room for reference. Engage your memory and creativity to design the flag with the logo of your team.
You must decide what defines your team and what brings them together. Design a flag that best captures
these concepts in the final design of your flags.

Number Game

Welcome to the sandy beach of Sarova Whitesands.

For this challenge, we have provided a set-up for each team. The set up comprises of a 3-piece balance beam
and sorting drum. Along the balance beam are 5 bags tied containing numbered tiles.

Teams must race across a balance beam while untying bags of numbered tiles. When they have all their bags,
they will arrange the numbers in lines from 1 to 100. The first team to finish wins.
Chosen participants will represent each team. Some chosen reps will be around the sorting drum. One among
the chosen team reps goes to the starting carpet. At “GO”, the team rep runs to race along the balance beam
and opens the 1st bag of tiles. The team rep then finishes the race along the beam and delivers the bag to the
team reps at the sorting drum. He/she may tap another person to go through the same for the consecutive
bag or go for another round. If the team rep falls off the balance beam, he/she must go back to the starting
point and starts the balance beam race again.

This challenge is both timed and depended to 1st team to win – whichever comes first.

Blind Water Balloon Volleyball

Throw and catch water balloons over a barrier sheet in between using a beach towel. Two members from
each team will hold the mid sheet if poles are not available. Each side will have 3 pairs holding a towel each,
meaning 6 players with 3 towels.

A point is given to the opposite team of that which drops the balloon.

The game ends with 6 points or 3 minutes, whichever comes first.

Tangram Puzzle – Creativity/Communication/Mental

A tangram is an ancient Chinese puzzle with 7 specific pieces that fit perfectly together to form a square.
Those 7 pieces are 2 large triangles, 1 medium triangle, 2 small triangles, a square, and a parallelogram.

Teams will be required to engage their mental prowess in solving selected tangram puzzles set against time
and against competing teams.

Focus Ring - Back To One Team

Using the focus ring, carry a ball from one point to another point and then place the ball onto the pedestal.

Each person in the entire group holds on to at least one string. The participants spread out like spokes of a
wheel, holding on to the end of their string. A tennis ball is then placed on top of a pedestal.

‘FINGER FISHING’ DEBRIEF

‘Finger-Fishing-Debrief’ will get the group back into a circle where we shall reinforce that we ‘grab
something new but not let go of what is at hand’. We shall discuss learning points from the two sessions with
input from each person and insights from the experience undergone.

Get the group back into a circle and conduct the finger-fishing activity (1=point right index finger up; 2=cover
index finger tip with left palm; 3=grab the index finger you covered but sneak off yours from a grabber).
