According to Subagyo, A., & Chafidz, A., “One of the most well-known and

practical plants in the world is the banana. Nearly all Fruit, leaves, flower buds, trunk,

and pseudo-stem are the components of this plant can be put to use”. This study also

involves banana pseudo-stem extraction, plantation, and harvesting of fibers, retting, and

fiber degumming. Additionally, it discusses the qualities of the banana pseudo-stem fiber

in terms of morphology, mechanics, and qualities such as strength, degradability, heat,

chemical, and antibacterial. It also highlights some of this fiber's possible uses, like its

use to create high-quality tea bags, placemats, string, paper, cardboard, rope, textiles,

absorbent materials, composites made of fiber and polymers, etc. This study mainly just

focuses on giving information and explanation about Banana Pseudo-Stem Fiber which

could be very beneficial to researcher’s whose research include Banana Pseudo-Stem

Fiber. Although it doesn’t have a material outcome it could help those who use banana

pseudo-stem fiber or anything alike or something it has in common. This study specifies

the value and possible uses that could help in the researcher’s study due to it being from

the same source as the banana sap which is from a banana tree. It could also benefit the

researcher when it comes to experimentation due to the reason that the material that will

be used contains a property that is needed in order to make the product of the research.
