The 2022 election is months away to occur. Candidates for the
presidential, vice-presidential and senatorial position opens and many aspirants filed with their platforms in leading the country. Philippine election is expensive. The political aspirants need to invest gargantuan capital to campaign with their name tagged on posters, media, motorcades, tarpaulins and advertisements. The Philippine general election will be on May,9,2022 for executive and legislative branches of the government. In connection many parties had concluded their political bearers and on the other hand independent candidates also wag their proposition in running for the desired position. In the context of filing some are observed to be nuisance candidate. The image of the nuisance candidate has been associated with Philippine democracy since the country’s first democratic election in 1986. The term is used to describe candidates that run for office under the auspices of a particular party or coalition, but have no actual chance of winning, which permits them to use public funds for their own benefit. Their intent is to play mockery of the election process and their intent to confuse the voters with the similarity of their names-for some, if they are declared as such, their certificate of candidacy may be denied due course or may be cancelled. Some prominent candidates are also considered nuisance as they were appointed in the last minute of filing the candidacy. To give an example for a nuisance candidate is Mr. Ronaldo Plaza, known as Rastaman Yow, demonstrated banners in his hands. His ideal vision sets the parameter to be assess as one of the clowns in the circus. As a democratic country we need to dig deeper the facts about our bets, their stand, insights and vision on how they can make Philippines a great nation. The ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP- Laban) said there was nothing wrong with political parties availing the period for substitution of their standard-bearers in the 2022 elections. The Comelec resolution allows for substitution up to November 15, a process that is duly respected and followed. They also enunciated that a mockery is implied when rules are not applied equally and every party is entitled to employ its’ own political strategies. The Comelec should filtrate the candidates covering a standard that will enlighten the Filipino people to vote for the right and will lead them to an aspirant who has the heart and the mind in conquering the hurdles of the Filipino nation. We ought to vote and dispense it to a leader who has the vision to change the Philippine system of living.
