F BACKGROUND
Hopscotch is a famous outdoor game in which you match your hands and feet to the drawings
on the ground, row by row until you finish. Hopscotch originated during the early days of the
Roman Empire in ancient Britain. The first hopscotch courts were over a hundred feet long and
were utilized for military training exercises. Roman foot soldiers traversed the course with full
armor and field packs to enhance their feet, similar to how contemporary football players go
over rows of truck tires today. This game, Hopscotch, has evolved into many distinct
types/methods of play, but the closest Hopscotch that we will adopt is the Hands and feet
hopscotch.

1. Each player must use their hands and feet to hop over the squares.
2. The game starts with the first player hopping on base on the figure
in the first three squares until they reach the end of the board.
3. Players must hop over each square in order, starting from the first
three squares and ending on the last three squares.
4. Players must not skip any squares or hop on any squares twice.
5. If a player misses a square or hops on a square twice, they must
go back to the beginning of the board and start again.
6. the game ends when all players have reached the end of the board
without missing any squares or hopping on any squares twice and
answering the quiz correctly.
7. The winner is the team with the fastest group that reaches the end
twice and answering the quiz correctly.

 RULES
1. One team will play per round and will be timed.
2. The team must form a line before the game starts.
3. They are not allowed to change their order when the game
starts.
4. Only one player at a time can do the hopscotch and must
answer the quiz before the next player can proceed.
5. The hopscotch tiles will be randomized to printed images &
texts (both English and Filipino) to both confuse and
challenge the players.
6. The tiles will be shuffled between teams to prevent other
teams from practicing.
7. If a player incorrectly followed the tiles, they will be sent
back to the starting line and try again.
8. At the end of the hopscotch, each player will answer one quiz.
9. There will be a jar of questions at the end of the hopscotch.
Players will be picking
from the jar and reading the questions out loud before answering.
10. They must answer correctly before the next player can start the
relay. Answer incorrectly, they will be sent to the back of the line
and the next player will start.
11. The questions for the 1st and 2nd games will be easy random
questions. For the final games, it will be LPU-related questions.
12. Players will be allowed to ask a friend during the quiz. But each
team will be granted only ONE help for the entire tournament.
13. After the last player answers the quiz correctly, the timer will
stop.
14. The winner of the game will be the team that finishes the relay
faster based on their time.
15. The winning team will proceed to the championship and the
losing team will proceed to game 3 to determine third place.

promotes teamwork. This game will allow members to get to
know their teammates better while also having a great time.
To make the game successful, players must collaborate
while planning and strategizing, which promotes stronger
connections and allows the team to be more creative.
2. Commitment. Team members will understand the value
of perseverance and follow through on commitments.
Participants will be constantly reminded of the need to work
hard and commit until the finale.
3. Critical-Thinking Skills. Group members of the game will
acquire the ability to respond quickly yet precisely to every
question in the quiz. This game can effectively help players
to improve and develop their thinking skills.
4. Resilience - Members will be able to acquire resilience in
order to succeed as they hop from the start to the end.
Further, the importance of genuine effort and dedication to a
common goal can be instilled in the team.
5. Consideration. Players can develop
consideration for one another for the success of
the hopscotch game. They will acquire the ability
to compromise and trust one another.
Consideration provides the team with the value
of collaboration, supporting others, courtesy,
and the skill of considering about each other.
6. Leadership. Members will be able to discover
their leadership abilities by taking the initial
actions toward winning the game.
7. Integrity and Good Sportsmanship. Members
will have the opportunity to nurture integrity and
good sportsmanship by respecting opponents,
losing respectfully, and succeeding without
gloating.
