Summary of Post-Observation Conference

In my field experience this week, I had the opportunity to observe Ms. L who taught

leadership and ASB. She communicated her expectation with her students in a clear manner and

showed excellent leadership qualities through character. She treated each of her students with

respect and showed patience when speaking with students who struggled. She guided her

students with a shared goal and showed an abundance of passion through her body language. By

doing so, she created an inclusive school community where students were supported and

challenged in a positive way. It was evident that she was committed to promoting the school’s

mission and vision by aligning her classes’ goals and values. She demonstrated many excellent

qualities of a leader.

PSEL Standard 1 and 6 and Implications of Future Practice

In my future practice, I plan on incorporating PSEL Standards 1 and 6 in my professional

career by building a community of positivity and inclusivity. To do so, I will self-reflect on my

current practices and ensure they are aligned with the school’s mission and vision. I will be a

leader who demonstrates leadership qualities through actions, decisions, and language usage.

Additionally, I will share this vision with my subordinates to cultivate leaders among teachers

through professional development, learning activities, and meaningful conversations.
