Use of Race Flags and Commands:

● Green Flag: Normal racing; overtaking allowed

● Yellow Flag/Caution: No overtaking allowed, fall in behind the Safety Car (SC)

● SC Out: Safety Car has been deployed

● SC In: Safety Car will be coming in

● Red Flag: Stop at the start/finish line, no pitting is allowed

● Blue Flag: Allow faster cars to pass.

● Black Flag: Disqualification from race (DSQ)/Forced retirement

● White Flag: last lap of the race

● Checkered Flag/Race Finish: Race over

1. Race Format/Safety Car Procedures

a. All races start from a “checkered” grid start.

b. Cautions can be called when more than 2 drivers are caught up in a crash and/or

when a driver leaves the lobby during a race.

c. Competition Cautions may be called to reset the pack if the pack is too spread out.

d. Cutting the track to catch up under SC is allowed, as long as the driver does not

gain any positions by doing so.

e. Caution flag procedures:

i. Pitting is allowed during a yellow flag

ii. If you pit, you forfeit your track position to the cars that pass you while

you are pitting.

iii. Stay 3-5 car-lengths behind the car in front of you.

iv. No overtaking is allowed once the caution is called and the SC is

deployed.

1. Overtaking/ramming under caution results in an appropriate

penalty for ramming.

v. If the Safety Car is deployed behind the race leader(s), all cars ahead of

the SC must slow down to allow the SC to pass.

f. Overtaking after a Safety Car:

i. No overtaking is permitted under Safety Car.

ii. Once the Safety Car leaves the track, the race leader becomes the control

car:

1. No overtaking is allowed before the race leader resumes racing

speeds and before the start/finish line.

2. The race leader must either maintain SC speeds of 80-120 kmh or

resume racing speed once the SC pulls off track

g. Pitting is allowed under caution and during the race, no restrictions to what can be

done to the car during a pitstop

h. To complete your pit stop you must come to a complete stop.

i. Pit Speed limit is 50 kmh.

j. Pit Stop Delta Time:

i. Pit speed limit will be checked with a Delta Time drivers can not exceed

from the time they enter pitlane and exit the pits.

ii. Drivers cannot be >0.5 seconds faster than the delta time without

penalization (1 position grid penalty)

iii. Delta Time will be posted before Qualifying.

k. Pitting under Red Flag is allowed.

i. Pit stops under red flag do not count towards the mandatory pit stop(s)

during a race.

2. FASCAR Overtime

a. Should a caution/yellow flag be thrown in the last 3 laps of a race, FASCAR

Overtime is initiated and 2 additional laps will be added once the race resumes.

b. To set up for Overtime, a red flag will be thrown and all drivers must stop at the

line for the Overtime restart.

c. If another caution/yellow flag is thrown during the first of the 2 additional laps,

the process repeats.

d. In overtime, a red or yellow flag can not be thrown once the leader receives the

white flag signifying the last lap of the race.

3. Qualifying Procedures

a. Timed Qualifying:

i. 1 out lap/warm up lap, 2 timed laps

ii. Top 10 drivers from qualifying set the grid for the race

1. If any driver from the top 10 are not able to make the race, the next

fastest driver(s) fill in their spot.

iii. The driver with the fastest time is awarded pole position, and 1

championship point

b. Qualifying Sessions will only be 1 hour in length, 1 session for each division on

the Friday before the race weekend.

c. Drivers who do not qualify will start from pit lane in championship standings

order.

4. Driver Eligibility

a. Any driver that has raced in a level of FASCAR for more than half a season is

eligible to race in that series

b. Miata Cup Eligibility:

i. Any Driver may race, no license required

c. FRLSCC Eligibility:

i. Any Driver with at a Grade D or no license

d. FRLTM and ARCA Ares Auto Series (AAS) Eligibility:

i. Any driver with a Grade D or C license OR

ii. Any driver that finished in the top 3 of the Driver’s standings in the

previous season of FRLSCC (1st place gets priority for promotion)

e. Anchor Series (FAS) Eligibility:

i. Any driver with at least a Grade D license OR

ii. Any driver that finished in the top 3 of the Driver’s standings in the

previous season of FRLTM (1st place gets priority for promotion)

f. Cup Series (FCS) & DTM Eligibility:

i. Any driver with at least a Grade C license OR

ii. Any driver that finished in the top 3 of the Driver’s standings in the

previous season of FDS (1stplace gets priority for promotion)

g. Any Driver that has previously raced in a specific level of FASCAR or FASCAR

Feeder Series for more than half a season is eligible to race in that series.

h. If a driver is ineligible for a series, they may request a time trial in order to prove

that they are quick enough.

i. Time trials are held at the IWD Oval leftwards, with FCS regulations.

ii. FAS - top 30 of all times

iii. FCS - top 15 times of all times

5. Regular Season Drivers’ Championship Format

a. FASCAR is split into 4 levels:

i. Top Level - FASCAR Cup Series (FCS)

ii. 2nd Level - FASCAR Anchor Series (FAS)

iii. 3rd Level - FRL Touring Master (FRLTM) / ARCA Ares Auto Series

(AAS)

iv. 4th Level - FRL Saloon Car Championship (FRLSCC)

b. Drivers compete with their own unique name/in-game ID# and car number

(00-99)

i. Car number 1 is reserved for the previous season’s Driver’s Champion

ii. Car number 01 is reserved for the previous season’s Team’s/Owner’s

champion

c. Up to 10 drivers are allowed to race in any given event.

i. An 11th driver is allowed when the 11th driver is an invited guest.

d. Points Distribution:

P1 15 points

P2 12 points

P3 10 points

P4 8 points

P5 6 points

P6 4 points

P7 2 points

Pole Position 1 point

e. Drivers compete for a spot in the playoffs that is decided by the points standings

in the regular season.

i. The top 10 drivers earn a spot in the playoffs to compete for the

championship.

f. If 2 drivers are tied in total points, the tiebreaker who has more 1st place finishes,

then 2nd place finishes, then 3rd place finishes, etc.

g. “Buschwacker” rule:

i. Drivers may compete in any circuit below their current one, as long as

they have a car for it and they are approved by the admin of that series.

ii. These drivers are not allowed to race for points in the lower series’, this is

purely for practice/fun.

iii. “Buschwackers” can race in up to 3 races in the lower series.

h. Choose Rule:

i. Drivers must choose in which series they want to compete for points at the

beginning of the season during registration.

ii. The series they choose cannot be changed once the season begins, unless

there is an extenuating circumstance.

i. Playoff Points:

i. Definition: Points added to playoffs drivers’ starting total (0) at the

beginning of the playoffs.

ii. Post-Regular Season Playoff Points Distribution:

iv. Drivers are also awarded 1 playoff point for every stage that they win

(only applicable in races split into Stages).

v. Driver’s finishing lower than 3rd are not awarded playoff points.

vi. End of Season Playoff Points Distribution:

4. P4 – 7

vii. Example:

1. Driver A wins 5 races, and comes 3 rd in the other 5 races during the

regular season.

2. Driver A starts the playoffs with 20 points.

viii. Playoff Points are not awarded during the playoffs.

j. FRLFIA License points are awarded after the Playoffs.

6. Playoffs Format

a. Season 4 Playoffs Format

i. Elimination Style, “Win and you’re in” applies, win the race, and

automatically advance to the next round regardless of points.

ii. Playoffs Eligible Drivers: Drivers that have raced in at least 50% of

Regular Season Races and are in the top 15 in the Driver’s Standings.

iii. All drivers registered in FASCAR are eligible to qualify and race in the

Playoffs, even non-Playoff drivers.

iv. Impact of this change:

1. Team’s and Manufacturer’s Championship will be decided at the

end of the Playoffs

2. FIA license points will be distributed at the end of the Playoffs

b. “Win and you’re in”:

i. Win a race and you’re in the Playoffs, as long as you are Playoffs Eligible

(see Playoffs Format, section a, subsection ii)

c. Playoffs drivers are made up of the top 10 drivers in the Regular Season Drivers’

Championship, as defined by section 5, subsection e.

d. Driver points are reset to 0 at the start of the playoffs, and then playoff points

earned during the Regular Season are applied.

e. Winner of the Playoffs is crowned the FASCAR Champion.

f. Playoffs Structure:

i. Races 1/2 – Round of 8 (drivers)

1. All Playoffs Drivers points totals are set to 1000+playoff points

earned in the regar season.

2. All remaining drivers’ points are set to 3000, no additional playoff

points are added.

ii. Races 3/4 – Round of 6

1. Bottom 2 Drivers in the Points from the Round of 8, without a win,

are eliminated.

2. Eliminated drivers’ points return to 1000+playoff points earned.

3. All remaining drivers’ points are set to 2000+playoff points

earned.

iii. Race 5 – Championship 4,

1. Bottom 2 Drivers in the Points, without a win, from the Round of 6

are eliminated.

2. Eliminated drivers’ points return to 1000+playoff points earned.

3. All remaining drivers’ points are set to 3000, no additional playoff

points are added.

4. Winner of the race wins the Driver’s Championship.

7. Team’s Championship

a. A Team consists of 1-3 full-time drivers and 0-2 reserve drivers

b. The Teams’ Championship will be awarded to the team with the most points after

the Regular Season.

i. Teams’ Championship points are calculated as the sum of all 1-5 driver’s

points earned throughout the regular season.

c. The team leader/owner must register their team and team members in order to be

eligible for the Team’s Championship

d. All team members must use the same make and model car, but are not required to

use the same paint scheme.

e. Team members are encouraged to have some marking on their car to indicate that

they are a part of a team (team logo, same number font, rear window banner, team

livery, etc.)

f. If a reserve has replaced a full-time driver and races under the same name as the

full-time driver as if they are that driver, both drivers will be removed from

FASCAR, given a 1 season ban and made ineligible for the Playoffs, and given a

Race DSQ for every race this occurred in (results and points adjusted

accordingly). Their team will also be docked a maximum of 20 Owner’s

Standings points.

8. Manufacturers Championship

a. The Manufacturer’s championship is decided by which manufacturer has the most

points collectively from all the points gained by drivers using that manufacturer’s

car in one series (FAS or FCS).

b. The Manufacturer’s championship is decided at the end of the regular season.

c. Drivers and teams are not allowed to change manufacturers mid-season.

9. Car Regulations

a. No performance enhancing hexcoding is permitted of any kind (engine, turbo,

tires, weight, tire grip/durability etc.)

i. Cosmetic hexcoding is permitted.

ii. If you are found cheating with hexcoding you will receive an immediate

ban from FASCAR for as long as the admins deem necessary.

b. FASCAR Cup Series (FCS):

i. Cars may not be built on the following chassis:

1. 180sx, E30, AE86, and RX-7 (convertible and hatchback)

ii. Approved Car Conversions (all listed are for the Nissan Silvia S15)

2. Cadillac CT5-V by grayomelette

4. Toyota Camry by ?

10. All other models must be approved by FASCAR admins.

c. FASCAR Anchor Series (FAS):

i. Same car regulations as the FCS

d. ARCA Ares Auto Series (AAS):

i. Same car regulations as the FCS

ii. 350 HP max

iii. Used Semi Slicks tires

iv. Full Roll Cage and 1 tow hook minimum

v. No rear wings, small attached spoilers only

vi. Rim Size: S & M only

e. FRLTM:

i. Any existing or created touring/stock car is allowed

ii. 415 HP max

iii. Political symbols are forbidden on cars (except driver nationality flags)

iv. Used Semi-Slick Tires

v. No turbos allowed

vi. All cars must have: any rollcage, harnesses, and racing steering wheel

f. FRLSCC:

i. Any existing or created touring/stock car is allowed

ii. 220 HP max

iii. Political symbols are forbidden on cars (except driver nationality flags)

iv. Used Semi-Slick Tires

v. No turbos allowed

vi. All cars must have: any rollcage, harnesses, and racing steering wheel

10. Car Paint Schemes

a. All Car numbers must be on the doors and the same size or bigger than a basic

number sticker size 200, 200.

b. Liveries are not allowed to include profane language in any language or other

insensitive/graphic images on the car.

c. All cars must have the proper series banner and other required stickers on the car.

d. Failure to comply with any livery rules will result in a Race DSQ.

e. Must follow the general NASCAR/stock car Style (see examples below)

11. Stage Races

a. Stage Race Definition: Races that are split into 3 segments or stages. When a

stage ends a red flag is thrown and all drivers must stop at the start/finish line.

i. Drivers with poor connection are encouraged to relog by first entering

the garage and then reconnecting to the room. Drivers who relog

incorrectly will restart the race from pit lane.

b. Format:

i. Once Stage 1 and 2 end, a caution flag will be thrown.

ii. Drivers are also allowed to relog but must relog by first exiting the room

to the Garage menu.

1. Drivers who improperly relog will be forced to restart the next

Stage from pit lane.

2. Drivers who pit or relog under the Stage Break red flag will keep

their position that they held when the stage ended.

c. In Stage Races, points can be earned after Stage 1 and 2.

d. Stage 1 & 2 Points Distribution:

P1 Stage Finish 5 points + 1 Playoff Point

P2 4 points

P3 3 points

P4 2 points

P5 1 point

e. After Stage 3, normal race points are awarded.

f. Example:

i. Driver A wins Stage 1, finishes 3 rd in Stage 2, and wins the race. The total

amount of points earned is 23 points and 4 playoff points.

12. Race Rules

a. Track Limits:

i. Corner cutting is defined as having more than 3 tires off the defined track

at any given time.

1. Having both front or back tires off track limits will result in a

corner cutting violation/warning.

2. Curb riding is allowed.

ii. If you lose positions from ramming and you choose to cut the track, you

will be given penalties for corner cutting for every time you do so.

iii. Track Limits will be defined in the Race Report before Race Weekend

begins.

b. Contact Rules:

i. Contact is defined as hard ramming as seen by the marshals, forcing

another driver off track, or any other incident that is deemed illegal by the

race marshals.

ii. Blocking and light contact are allowed.

c. If you are disconnected or leave the lobby during a race at any time, you may

rejoin the race.

i. When you rejoin the race, you will start from the back of the pack and

however many laps down you are from when you disconnected.

ii. If you are disconnected from the race more than 3 times, the caution flag

may not be thrown.

d. Dangerous Driving (DD):

i. A driver can be penalized for dangerous driving (DD) for unsafely

rejoining the race from pitlane, weaving on track, disregarding blue flags,

etc., at the race marshals’ discretion.

e. Unsportsmanlike conduct

i. Drivers found guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct at any time during their

tenure in FASCAR may receive the following penalties:

1. Grid penalty before the next race, race DSQ Championship Points

Penalty (Up to 20 points deduction), Suspension (length of

suspension is at the discretion of the Big Cheese and other

admins), and/or Potential season or life ban from FASCAR

f. Possible Penalties:

i. Level 1 (L1):

1. L1 violations include:

a. Minor track limits violations

b. Minor contact violations

c. Minor unsportsmanlike conduct offenses

d. Jump Start violations

e. Failure to complete mandatory pit stop(s)

2. L1 possible penalties:

a. A Warning for above violations

b. Post-race time penalties: 2-5 seconds

c. Pre/post-race grid penalties: 1-2 positions

d. Points deductions: 2-5 points

e. Back of the Grid race start penalties (Jump Start)

ii. Level 2 (L2):

1. L2 violations include:

a. Repeated track limits violations

b. Repeated or major contact violations

c. Repeated or significant unsportsmanlike offenses

2. L2 possible penalties:

a. Post-race time penalties: 5-15 seconds

b. Pre/post-race grid penalties: 2-3 positions

c. Points deductions: 5-10 points

d. Playoff points deductions: 1-3 points

e. Race suspensions: 1-2 races

iii. Level 3 (L3):

1. L3 violations include:

a. Illegal reserve driver usage

b. Targeted ramming/contact violations

c. Major Unsportsmanlike Conduct Violations

d. Cheating to gain an advantage

2. L3 possible penalties:

a. Race DSQ

b. Points deductions: 10-20 points

c. Playoff points deductions: 3-10 points

d. Race suspensions: 2-4 races

e. Nullifying Playoffs eligibility, regardless of season results

f. Season or lifetime ban from FASCAR competition

(Including feeders)

g. Ping Limit:

i. Ping limit is 225+

ii. Lag issues:

1. If 2 drivers have an incident due to lag and one driver has

exceedingly high ping (200+ consistently), the driver with higher

ping will be penalized for the incident. However; if two drivers

with low ping (100 or less) are involved in an incident related to

lag, that incident will be deemed a racing incident due to server lag

and no penalties will be awarded, unless the marshals deem there

to be foul play involved.

h. In races with 50% or less of registered drivers present, the drivers present may be

asked whether or not to shorten the race distance to 50% of the original intended

distance.

i. “Lucky Dog” Rule:

i. During a caution or red flag, all drivers who were a lap down are now on

the lead lap.

ii. Drivers who are more than 1 lap down are now one lap closer to the lead

lap:

1. Ex. Driver A is 2 laps down (+2), during a yellow flag they are

now 1 lap down (+1).

iii. If there are 2 marshals in the race lobby, the one not acting as a safety car

will announce that the Lucky Dog rule has been applied to all lapped

drivers.

1. The Lucky Dog rule must be announced by the marshals for it to

be applied.
