Hi everyone I’m a medical student and I do my internship in London on Sundays. Yep, I know it sounds
crazy, that’s why I need a lift. I start working at 7:30 and I can’t be late, but I haven’t got transport. I can
offer you some drinks at my work in exchange for the cost of petrol. I like rock music and computer
games but I’m talkative so I will be willing to have great conversations while we are in a jam.

Person B:

I’m a first year art student and I want to share a flat or house in the city centre, because I don’t enjoy
living in the student hostel near the campus. I can pay up to 500$ a month. I like shopping and I’m
planning to go abroad after the course. If you share my lifestyle and have a space in your place phone
me. I promise I’ll keep my area neat and help with the housework tasks. BTW girls only!

Person C:

Does anyone have friends in Portugal or Brazil? I’m a modern languages student and I want to have an
email penfriend who speaks Portuguese to improve my writing. I like swimming and pop music. I’m not a

Working with celebrities

1. Stars take a lot of interest in what they eat so what do they do when they feel hungry but don’t
want to get their hands dirty? Employ me, of course I have to be very good at my job because
I’m responsible for preparing meals not just for my boss but for all his famous friends. I got good
qualifications and then worked in one of the best restaurants for a couple of years.
2. I get the chance to experience the life of the rich and famous without actually being famous
myself. I take phone calls and look at all the fan mail, plan parties and do all the jobs the star
doesn’t want to do. I travel first class with the star, make sure she or he arrives everywhere on
time and meet lots of famous people. I have to stay very calm and not mind being shouted at
even when I’ve done nothing wrong. I earn lots of money like the stars but I’m never on the
front page of the newspapers and magazines.
3. I’m essential to a star who wants to look good. I’m the only person who tells a celebrity what to
do and they listen to me. I watch and shout instructions while they cycle, run and lift weights.
There is also a change of someone famous falling in love with me, it has happened before but I
keep them a bay.
4. I make stars look perfect, it doesn’t just happen by accident. It’s my job to make sure my
celebrity looks wonderful at all times. You should look like a star if you had a professional to
shop and choose clothes for you. The best thing about my job is that I go everywhere with my
boss because famous people can’t afford to make any mistakes in public, can they? I’m with the
celebrity nearly all the time, whether at home or on holiday.
5. My job is to make sure the boss is never in jeopardy. I need to be strong, both physically and
mentally to do that. I have to see problems in advance before they happen and if there is any
trouble, I have to be there at once. I’m closer to the star than anyone. And I have to do what a
celebrity does and goes to keep in sight all the time. If the boss wants to spend every night
dancing in a nightclub. I’ll be there too. In fact, I sometimes spend 24 hours at work without a
break.
6. I’m responsible for representing the celebrity on platforms creating content, craft copy for posts,
comments, answer questions and much more. More often than not, I deal with people who have
a relationship with or just fans. I essentially act as the actual celebrity, however, my client
sometimes wants to interact with the followers and, in such a case, I always have to make sure
the celebrity doesn’t get into a mess.
